Wanted to remind any and all Springfield locals that Meta-Games will have a Brawl Tournament on January 10th at 6PM and a SSF2THDR Tournament at Midnight following the Brawl event. Hope to see everyone out!

Well, the arcades are still around, they are just slowly losing all their cabs…and their business. I went to Joplin this past week as well, and all their cabs are for sell too. I was pumped to play Project Justice and JoJo, but sadly, both machines were gone/purchased…

Was good having you up tonight Torrey! Pretty pleased we had 9 people playing in that test run event, hoping for 15-20 on Saturday for the midnight tourney (pretty optimistic for springfield, but we’ll see!).

what do you guys play? we’re only “good” at marvel but we’ll play pretty much any street fighter
Well, for the most part everyone plays HDRemix, but there is two other tvs set up with a ps2 and a DC, and we’ve pretty much got everything available for both of those. Everything from Last Blade to Guilty Gear to all the KOFS. I plan on bringing up a modded ps2 soon so we can even play Vampire Saviour, Garou, and weird stuff like Savage Reign & Kizuna Encounter. A couple of us are talking of modding an XBOX as well for all those lost gems, and even having a crap fighter night! So yeah, anything is fair game. We’ve got what seems like a steady 6 i’d say, and a handful of others from the time to time. Monday is usually the big night, and we usually start around 6, so if you ever find the time you should definitely come on up. The more, the better!

I’m interested in playing some MvC2, but I’ve got very few skills, and only recently got a stick for my DC, but I’m definately down for taking a beating to try and get better.
