Springfield, MO - No, really, we play fighting games here!

I really wanted to go to KC this weekend but other obligations popped up. :frowning:

You guys will have to tear it up without me.

So guys its been really fun and I met some really cool people in Springfield. But this will probably be the last time I can possibly make it to Meta Games. I was offered a position in Vegas and I will probably be taking it. So I will probably see you at EVO possibly.

Our friend Josh was also there he was playing the bitch with the chain in AH3 and Jin BB.

As for seeing more of us, you hopefully will, Markus is probably going to be a regular and Iā€™ll show up whenever possible. Itā€™s nice to know this shithole town has a fighting community.

Awesome man, good luck! Weā€™ll definitely have to get together at Evo if I go.

They arenā€™t offering me much to fly out there, move my stuff and pay off my lease. So I figure a way to get that stuff done. If someone wants to sublet my apartment for 4 months that would be a big help lol :stuck_out_tongue: Only big thing keeping me here.

Finally got my account active, despite meaning to make one forever ago. >_> Iā€™m Markus, obviously.

And Iā€™d definitely like to see some BB tourney stuff, but Iā€™m happy with Casuals for now.

Want to let everyone know that PowerUp 2011 pre-registration is now mandatory. If you donā€™t pre-register you wonā€™t be allowed to play in official PU2011 tournaments. Weā€™re doing this so brackets can be made and posted pre-event, making things run smoother for everyone. Hope to see you all there!

Okay, so its only Torrey, Alex and I. Torrey, weā€™ll meet at your house at 9:00AM and Alex, meet you at meta games at 8:00AM.

Cool, Iā€™ll see you guys then!

Good games tonight fellas! Had some good Marvel times, found a lot of things I need to work onā€¦Iā€™ll get results up later, but a pre-emptive congrats to Clint for taking the official first Marvel ranbat season! As I mentioned, Iā€™m gonna go ahead and reset everything and weā€™ll start with a blank slate and begin rotating SSF4 and MvC3 for tournaments each week. So that means, itā€™s time to bring your SSF4 game next week!

Grats Clint! This next ranbat will get hype for sure!

Thanks guys.

Always a blast to play with everyone, and hopefully we can keep all the newcomers coming back for more. Maybe we can throw Blazblue and Arcana Heart 3 tourneys in there also, but thatā€™s a lot of games.

See you next time!

Sorry for being a bit MIA on the results, Iā€™ll try to get them up tonight. Been going back and forth between work and the hospital these last few days since my brother had a kid, so I havenā€™t really thought about it.

Yeah, if we start getting more people for those, we may need to find a way to accomodate everyone. Maybe if there arenā€™t as many people for a game, we can run a round robin tourney on a side station or something.

Alright, finally got around to it, hereā€™s the results from this last Monday:

1: Warden (Clint)
2: Alex
3: Sang
4: Josh
5: Sala

Hope to see everyone out tomorrow, 12pm @ Next Level Games. Iā€™m ready to get my SSF4 game back in shape!

So, I recently started to play Marvel with a friend of mine, interested in learning competitvely, and I figured this would be my best place to put in my intro.

My nameā€™s Roman, I play Super Smash Bros. Melee at a competitve level with a few people around the area. Me and a friend (whoā€™s name is Drew) will most likely be meeting up with you guys for casual matches. Youā€™ll probably see us at Next Level Games this Sunday playing Smash, but thatā€™s not the only reason Iā€™m going. Iā€™m wanting to watch a lot more Marvel and learn the game mechanics at a better level. Iā€™m not that good at all, but I havenā€™t really been practicing technical skill since Iā€™m waiting on a stick to make my learning curve easier. Instead, Iā€™m trying to just watch as many matches/streams as possible and read all that I can to understand the game at a better level. So, youā€™ll most likely see me around the forum and at the local tournaments. See you guys around.

Hey guys, A.R.K. III (NOW featuring Justin Wong, Fubarduck, Lil Majin, and many more great players!) is coming up THIS SATURDAY in Conway, AR! We are expecting at least ~150 people with games such as Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, SSF4, BlazBlue:CS, Arcana Heart 3, Tekken 6, Melee, Brawl, Project: M, and more! Players are coming in from at least California, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Arkansas!

Note that our tournament is now sponsored by Game On Apparel, Shadaloo.eu, Borderland Games, Broken Tier, and the Bat Cave, which will each be providing additional prizes and bonus pots for our tournaments. Also, well-known regional modder DaRabidDuckie will be on hand to provide dual mods (PS3 <-> 360) for fight sticks.

If you have ANY questions, please post on here or on the official tournament thread here: http://shoryuken.com/f7/ucc-r-k-iii-conway-ar-4-2-11-feat-jwong-fubarduck-lil-majin-etc-261820/. Please try to make it and show your support not only for us, but for the Regional Shoryuken community as a whole. If you CANā€™T come, then please try to watch our stream at Interrupted Gaming on Justin.tv. Thanks guys!

Roman! You might not remember me, but I know Drew will! Itā€™s Dylan, that old Zombie Player. I also happened to hang out with you once, so yeah. >_> Tell Drew I said hey.

Iā€™m pretty positive I remember you. I think I also remember hearing Drew you also played Marvel, lol

Cool man, yeah, come on out! Weā€™re always looking for new players and willing to show the ropes a bit. If you can ever make it to Meta Games on Monday nights, we get a lot of real good action then to. It is a tourney night, but itā€™s still a pretty casual affair (tourneys are free entry, and thereā€™s plenty of room if you just want to casual as well).

Anyways, finally (Iā€™ll try to get more on the ball with these things, really) got the results of the SSF4 ranbat from this past Monday:

1: Warden (Clint)
2: Alex
3: Josh
4: Tom
5: Sang
5: Fenske
7: Masaki
7: eVile (Dennis)
9: Sala
9: DrunkNinja (Torrey)

Lot of surprises and upsets, so donā€™t count anyone out just yet!

And be ready for MAHVEL next Monday!
