About Ryu: As I mentioned to you, I mained Ryu long before I ever touched Cammy and played him pretty much since TGA got SFIV. In Lieu of your recent appreciation of the character, I would be most happy to impart all of the information I have accumulated on him thus far to get you going in the right direction. If you get good with the character I would be happy to pass him on to you, as I have no remaining interest in him anymore outside of a possible counter-pick scenario.

Good idea picking up Ryu though, playing that character taught me a lot of basics and like Pancho I grew tired and graudated to Vega and then to Fei Long and I’ve been stereotyping it up since.

I think I’d be pretty interested in a Thursday meet up this week. As far as I know I don’t have any prior plans and I’m out of class around 2. Usually it’s sooner since I like to skip out early.

Haven’t seen you around in awhile. What’cha been up to? Going to BG or anywhere for sessions? Since PF isn’t this week thursday I’m get sessions in with some GuiltyGear and SSF4 old school players, but Fri idk what’s happenin for SF.
Also, I’ve learned a lot more with Jonny, mist unblockable setups down, and learned some character-specific combos. I just can’t handle pressure at the moment…since game runs so fast and I haven’t seen 95% of the moveset in the cast so far XD.
Well since most cant make it - Tomorrow I’ll set up another lobby for us to beat eachothers asses.

I was away from home to visit my girl in Buffalo, see X JAPAN, and go to Season’s Beatings. After that, I came home for about two days, and left again to go to Detroit to perform with my band at Youmacon. I’ve been in the Buffalo area since. My band has another gig in a week, so I’m actually considering staying here until after that’s over, 'cause it’s much easier to get to Chicago from here than it is from my home.
Good shit picking up that GG! Learning to deal with pressure will just come from playing more, and it seems like that’s what you’re doing, so you should be a’ight. Looking forward to playing some Guilty after I get home.
Long ways away, don’t know what X JAPAN is. Looked up vids of your band playing Canta Per Me (Noir OST) and I dug it, the singer sung it differently but it’s one of those “our own way” covers that are refreshing.
And yeah, I was I was around for the Guilty Gear scene. My mind doesn’t run that fast for it right now, but I’m trying to up the pace for MvC3-esque stuff. You’d probably WRECK me hard in GG, but as long as I learn each matchup at hand, that’s what 50% of learning a fighting game is I suppose.
