So I looked into transportation. After much consideration, I think the best way to do this would be either to drive there and split the gas and parking costs, or to drive to New Haven and take Metro North into the city, and then take the subway to Chinatown. If we do the latter, I can direct us to and through the subway system. I believe Metro North is $7 each way, and the New York subway system (MTA) is $2.25 per trip each way. So $18.50 total.
Any other options start to cost a good bit of money and lower the level of convenience. For example, if we were to take Amtrak from Springfield to New Haven, that part of the trip alone would cost about $20 round trip per person, and would also limit our time options. If we were to bus to New Haven, it would cost even more. Taking Amtrak the entire way would cost about $40 round trip, and Greyhound would, again, be more.
So when does everyone want to go? And who would be willing to drive? I’m down to go anytime, pretty much. And as for driving, it’s a possibility, but isn’t really ideal, as I share a car.

Thanks for the info Alex! I think we should do whatever gives us the most time, but I think we should also consider if we are going multiple times, staying in a room for a night, etc. If so I would be happy to look into it since Alex already did some leg work. As for when, I start classes again Jan 18th, so maybe a few days before that so I can attempt to get the time off from work, save up, etc. Does that sound okay for other people too? Also, as a last resort I’d be willing to drive. Maybe to New Haven. (Is it far Alex?) Any other info, input, ideas and whatnot are most welcome!

I’m trying out a pinnacle elite but intend to upgrade. Also trying software to get be tter quality ans overlays. Have two web cams and two mic s, one is wireless. My pc handles the workload great and the quality on record is great.
Definate Date: Tuesday January 4th @ 6PM through Wednesday whenever. If people can get the time off I’d like to get a ton of people here and get a ton of games in.
Next up: Monday January 10th @ 6pm until ~3AM or later. Can’t carry into the next day. I’m also looking at possibly doing Sunday the 16th into the 17th.

blueNINE, we’ll just make a day trip of it soon. We’ll probably take my car to New Haven and go with your plan. In the next few days, people please let us know if you want to go. Including blueNINE and myself, there are 3 spots in my car. I need dates on when you’re free to go. I need some prior notice so that I can try and get the day off from work. If I don’t hear things within the next few days I will assume people aren’t interested/unable to go and will go with my own plans from there.
