I’m not sure why this kind of rampant homophobia and sexism just flies like it’s okay or something. It’s extremely harmful to the perception of homosexual people and women and probably pretty hurtful to anyone homosexual and/or female who wants to join the fighting game community. Even if you’re “just joking” it’s still harmful to the perception and normalizes it. If the FGC is sort of your safe space where you can be homophobic (making jokes about other people’s sexuality is homophobic) and sexist well then you should probably seek therapy because there’s something very wrong with that.
