LOL!
I’ve had the constant messaging before. Apparently because I was playing on a Wednesday, and that somehow meant I don’t have a job, don’t go to school, don’t have a life…doesn’t make sense since he was playing at the same time I was… Every time he sent a message I didn’t even argue back, all I said were things like “Okay, honey-muffin” “Yes, sweety pie” and “Indeed, cupcake” and other variations. Went on for well over a month and I just got bored with reading his stupid messages and blocked communications…
So the first day I started using my new korean Omni stick from etokki.com I went online and jumped into a bunch of random endless lobbies. I played about 20 games that day and was totally on point with my Makoto.
My last game, I joined some lobby with 3 player or so. There was a 3000PP+ Balrog player in that lobby running nearly a 20 game win streak. I jump in with Makoto (7-3 match up for Balrog at best IMO) and picked the wrong ultra (U2). I won and then I left. He sent me a message saying “lol canadian bitch” or some shit like that. Made my day.
I won every game online that day.
I think it makes people extra salty that I have 0PP when I beat them.
Okay, so I’m probably the WORST makoto on the SRK forums, I drop hayate buffers like its hot. I barely beat this scrub of a akuma. I mean he had good block string and zoning in his game and i had the worst timing with my anti airs and doing IAT that day. I raged after losing the first round to pretty much JUST fireballs and got in the second round and stunned him asap and won the round with a nice karakusa x jab -> block cause i knew he was spamming. Cause I’m a spammer, if there was a time to spam that would be it. Blocked his fierce SRK and punished with a good old fashion foot stomp to the abdomen. Last round. Dude gives up. stands there while demolish him. a few seconds after the match is over i get the message, “You’re gay for using a OP character”
Of course I reply with the standard “i love you too”
So taking time off of practicing to play the new Batman game has not been very good for my Makoto skills overall. Warmed up the past two days and jumped online last night and was pretty bad. I pulled a win out over a Guy player and he sent me a short, very complementing insult. “lol textbook” If he only knew about the awesome textbook that is being put together right now from all the great info on this forum.
Seriously, I don’t think any of the other characters have anything close to what we have here in this forum.
Beat two back to back T hawks last night!!
Played a Ken who rage quit on me because I kept beating his Kara throws with Tsurugi and his cross up attempts with Fuki. Totally surprised he didn’t send me hate mail.
Nice! I beat one last night myself. Beat two back-to-back Chun Lis tonight also. I usually have a ton of trouble with this match.
Had a great connection with a France player, a Korean one and one in China!
Played some Fuerte player (those still exist?) in Ranked a few times and won 4 out of six. I’d almost forgotten that character was even in the game, seriously.
few nights ago i fought a sagat that mashed like it was potatos.
now ya’ll top teir-mid teir maks are all like “lol i can beat mashers n00b” but understand that for ppl like me that still lose to ryus that do fireball, fireball dp THIS WAS AN ACHIEVEMENT T_T
seriously dude mashed like tiger knee into tiger uppercuts. i block and punished with S.MP into hayate. got his ass in the corner and went to work on him. then i got the W. i know this isn’t a big accomplishment cause it was a scrub i beat. however i felt really good about myself cause i woulda lost with makoto in that situation.
…then i lost like 6 straight and it was back to being free
Will not play as much anymore and lost a lot last night, but with only nine months with this game, I guess its still fun : )
Played a guy last night. 1800 pp and 400 bp for ryu. I hate ryu so I figured if I beat him bad enough he will switch to his main. I win and he brings out a 800 bp ibuki, so now I’m like “so he messes around with several characters” so i beat her too. Then he chooses dee jay, 1900 bp. This has got to be the main so as long as I can beat him, he won’t keep switching characters. Beat him then suddenly he brings out a 4000 bp hakan! So this is the real main? Beat him and then its a 6000 bp zangief. So i lost…
i see this all the time, just because i have zero bp and pp, i play high pp players and they decide to bring out a bunch of random low bp characters just to test the waters. i guess they figure at zero bp and pp i’m not worthy of facing their main… till they get their ass KICKED! lol
I respect the 4K Hakan. What sucks is when it’s another Makoto player and they pull her out after your win. Then it becomes a really odd Makoto-off. A lot of times that mirror isn’t even so much about winning as it is trying to flex who has the crazier shit. Who can put who into the more embarrassing set up.
Edit: “sucks” is a bad word to describe this. It’s just awkward. lol
My computer was tied up processing video files so i broke out the ol’ xbox which has been gathering dust since its about an inch from red ringing. I won some lost some. Lost two that I should have one. Played on even though the screen was full of artifacts and distortion (a symptom of a nearly dead xbox). Played against several makotos. Didn’t really feel a difference with the 2012 update. Can’t wait to get back on pc
Was BLAZIN em this weekend. didn’t play much Sunday but went from 6000-7200 BPs saturday morning. I told myself i was going to play till i lost. ended up playing for like 2 hours :).
I’ve learned that a patient Mak is WWAAAAAAYAYAYAYAAYAAAY more deadly than rushdown Mak. I mean i’ve started to pick and choose my points of attack while remaining safe. And I"m just taking what the opponents give me. You know what I figured out? if you just stand there and block, a lot of times people will do something stupid like stand at half screen and jump at Makoto. What? Why would you do such a stupid thing? Unless you have a dive kick… its a fucking stupid thing to do. I’m like, “look, Ryu, you dont’ have to jump at me dude. All you got to do is stand there and throw fireballs and uppercuts. All you got to do man. that’s what they designed you for dude. Stop that shit son.” But do they stop? NO. Tell my why a A+ viper is doing HK Burn kicks after a blocked EX Seismo? Come on man! its Fuki Bait! loses every goddam time. But they still do it. How come gouken is still doing shit on Makoto’s HP Oroshi loop? It goes like this:
Hit gouken with HP Oroshi
1-jump, land, meaty HP Oroshi: gouken tries to counter, gets CH (broken glass. Everywhere.)
2-jump, land, meaty HP Oroshi: not wanting to counter, gouken tries to jump. gets smacked down.
3-jump, land, meaty HP Oroshi: Since counter and jump dont work, fuck it, gouken’s gonna do EX TATSU (LOLILOLOIOILILMAOWTFBBQ)
So after EX Tatsu whiffs LMAO, and I hit him once for stun, then do nj.HP>U1 to kill him, I get messages talking about how I’m cheap. really nigga. Fuck you dude. learn to block. easy points I tell ya…
also, I havent’ seen not ONE MOTHERFUCKING YUN, YANG, OR FEI LONG in ranked in the past week. Mostly Akumas. And most of them get killed in one combo lmao. there was this one akuma that kept fighting me over and over. I hit him once and run away the whole match. he try to flip all over my ass huh. Guess what dude. I’d like you to meet someone. Her name is Fukiage, and she loves Fisting. I hear you love fisting too. 2 gether 4 eva.

Good to see that you’re having fun again Mossad, I myself have personally gotten a grasp on one of my personal bogies…the Bison matchup and basically because I’ve come to the same conclusion, a patient Makoto can be more savage than a rushdown Makoto. Now it’s time to get used to the Rufus match-up.
I gotta learn to be more patient. I get myself killed getting frustrated and trying to rush in all the time.
I was up to 11k BP at one point. Felt good man.
