Practical combos are the best combos.
Also what about that late stance switch one that lets you use like 4 supers in a row?
I am spending most of my time in glaive now so that isn’t too big of a deal, but I did find one stance switch combo that seems like it might be worth the risk of actually doing. I haven’t been able to figure out how to get more than 2 okami shuffles at the end and even that is proving to be somewhat difficult.
With enough practice I have faith that you can optimize higher meter fain higher damage combos with stance switching that are complicated through practice
Man MvC3 is so nuts, I love it. Someday I will have an Xbox again and will be able to sit down with training mode and figure stuff out.
I think (maybe this is just directed to Ben since we are fellow Ammy players) that in the future most high level Ammy players will use glaive as her point stance because it covers so much more space. Either that or once people get better with match-ups successful disk play will depend alot more on counters and wake-up mix ups with assists. Glaive is just so safe! I was thinking of switching my team to this: Ammy (cold star), Zero (shippuga), Sentinel (sent force). Ammy can (I think) DHC trick into Zero like you were saying, and with Sentinel assist Ammy’s Glaive would be ridiculous. Plus with Zero using Sent assist, I would have 3 chances to start combos in a much safer way than using Dorm assist, which really only gives me one.
Here are some other thoughts about tiers, since I can’t really explore the game myself, from watching streams and playing you guys this is what I think. Without assists and on point I think the top S or A+ tiers might be something like (in no particular order): Wesker, Task, Wolverine, Magneto, Ammy, Dante. Those characters seem pretty difficult to deal with, and can get kills pretty reliably.
BUT I think there are some characters that aren’t really being explored that could be pretty incredible, like MODOK, X-23, Joe and Skrull. Have you guys seen Tatsu on the WNF stream? His X-23, Deadpool, Sent team is craziness. But the other thing is that those 4 in particular probably need specific assists to be successful huh?
What do you guys think?
Also, on an unrelated note, I move back to Portland this week. I wanted to say I had a great time with you guys, this is an awesome group. I have moved around alot in the last couple years so I have been around a few different scenes and this one has been the easiest to be a part of. So Thanks! I had a great time playing with you guys.

I love how good Ammy play is switching from the fire disc over to the glaive more; I think we’ll see a lot of fire and ice, but the rosary whip stance seems less practical.
Actually trying to learn Ammy right now, thinking about a lot of teams actually. I am a bit of a slave to school lately, but still looking to get better. Saw a sick Storm combo that I think I can learn pretty easily; PR Balrog was using it.
X23 is another character I’d love to learn. Too many fun characters.
