Check gamefaqs for the gambit glitch… I don’t remember it clearly.
Uhhh… “I think…” is my nice way of saying, “I’ve been trying it for the last few days, and the comp still manages to block as I try to dash in” Is there some special timing… excuse me if I sound like an ass…
I’ve never seen this combo preached before, and I don’t have the old big spiral thread to reference to… I still dunno why it was deleted.
That combo circulated a bit on SRK after I pulled it off at ECC6, but otherwise, nobody seems to care about Spiral combos.
What you want to do is toss the 3 swords as late as possible, during the last frames of recovery of the s.roundhouse. Then you dash in. The s.roundhouse stuns the opponent for a surprisingly long time.
One particluar thing about spiral’s swords is that the first three swords and last three swords combo well together. but comboing swords 3 and 4 together doesn’t work so well. I guess it’s because they’re on the same level…
why swords 3 and 4 don’t like to combo into each other…
When you call the swords, the swords spin in place around Spiral in 6 different positions. These 6 positions are where the swords are launched from when you hit the jab button. The swords are launched in the following order: front high, front mid, front low, back low, back mid, back high.
Notice that when the swords spin in place: swords 1,2,3 overlap on a horizontal axis and swords 4,5,6 overlap on a horizontal axis. Notice that swords 3 and 4 have a gap between them on the horizontal axis. When you launch swords 3 and 4, sword 3 starts launching from in front of Spiral, and sword 4 starts launching from behind Spiral. This horizontal gap in the initial launching positions makes swords 3 and 4 not want to combo into each other unless Spiral is also dashing forward at the time.
Makes sense.
tried the sword super today, works great:)
Does anyone use spiral with ironmans AAA ? - wos & repulsor blast into launcher - air combo does alot of damage.
Yeah, it’s cool. When the repulsor blast starts to hit, activate the Meta, launch, and then
i just found out that marrow is more damaging than spiral… and more tricky than spiral
Considering Spiral Owns marrow for free…
Marrow’s homing bone super is ok, but once she has no level she can’t move or pressure as well as Spiral.
nah aah! spiral is slow on making meter but marrow is more faster than here in making meter so bot ways she is more potential than spiral…
Marrow is garbage! And her homing bone super doesn’t even chip that much. Hell Spiral’s normal circle of swords chips more! Spiral’s aircombos are more damaging as well.
dash in, c.lk, c.hk, 1234, dragon punch throw is like 50 points of damage on level two… like and like 60 or something if she has power-up. Anyways IMO Marrow sucks. There isn’t one thing that I like about her. Marrow is pretty :lame:
Anyways… I think the only supers worth doing with Spiral is the Strength up super since her Swords super is very risky and her Speed Up super is pretty pointless. Plus you don’t gain meter for at all! >_<
And how can you say that Spiral builds meter slowly?! >_< Now! Call swords, throw swords, super jump Call Blackheart, Sentinel, Doom, call swords and repeat… massive chip and a lot of meter.
you have no idea… don’t bother posting about characters you don’t have a clue about:mad:
ok ok we have our own idea on playing those character’s but it all depends on the player playing the character!
Shut up, you still don’t have a clue. Damn, what a :lame: - O. Go post in the Marrow forum.
Yo yo, pepes
I am tryin to destroy team Cable/Captain Camando with team Spiral/Blackheart/Sent. can it be done, or am I just a fool. My only real serious problem is Cable/anti air and I think Spiral can fix this problem. any pointerz, suggestions, comments i.e. this Spiral team in particular.
Yo yo, pepes
actually its very possible to dominate over this team. from my point of view i believe that spiral/sent is one of the hardest teams for cable to battle. the reason i say this is because spiral realy has the uper hand if u are careful enough not to screw up. the real tactic to use against this team is to lock down cable as best as u can with the V-Wall of Swords in which you should know how to do by now. and get down spirals teleport like a reflex. i say this because if you are to constantly use the V-Wall its goin to force a cable player to use the AHVB when he gets an opening and since spiral can teleport faster then cables AHVB that will only open him up for some serious punishment. anothere thing is to change up where and how often you teleport to get a mind game goin ie. teleport directly behind them 2 or 3 times and the next time teleport over top of them. so basicaly mix it up alot or SJ load swords and use quick drop to mess them up also. but its all on how you lock him down and how well you respond to the other players movments
by V-wall I am guessing you meen; sj. call swords throw three on the way down rejump and throw three more on the way up, repeat? this is really my first time of seeing this term.
Re: Yo yo, pepes
I think the jumping trap isn’t effective against cables. It has too many opportunities for holes and pushblocking… and even if cable ahvb’s, he’ll most likely have enough meter to dhc to mando or sent. You’ll be forced to block. Best bet is to stay careful. The close trap is the one to utilize in this matchup.
True true but if you really think about it not very many people want to open them selfs up to being hit by a volly of swords in which will make them continue to block and plus i never said that the spiral sent trap isnt more effective but i only use the V-Wall of Swords to zone and get in close and like i said before if you get her teleport to a reflex and teleport the hell out of harms way you ezaly keep them from wanting to open up them selfs and doin a dhc unless they dhc right after the AHVB but most people dont realy want to use up meter unless they know that they can chip the other person away. Plus they are most likly mashing to even realize that there about to be attacked. correct me if im wrong but even though you may have more experience then i do ive also have had no problems dominating over cable with spiral. in any case we both have our oppinions and its best to let people learn from wat they read and build a strat uppon wat they have learned. am i correct? if i am not, correct me and show me and everyone else wat is the correct way to defeat a cable team
thanx a bunch Vageto136669. I will soon learn to no longer fear that problem by the name of Cable. without having to resort to using him myself…Cable is such a bore.
