If you block the cr.hp, you can just walk under and avoid any ambiguous cross-up. Punish Juri as she lands with a cross-rush if the Juri player presses buttons in the air.

If you get hit by cr.hp point blank, the j.lk/j.mk/j.hp will always cross-up. But if Juri is a little further when she hits you with cr.hp, then it’s a complete 50/50. She can go j.lk/j.hp to fake cross-up or j.lk/j.mk to cross-up.

Yeah, i already do walk under her when she does that and punish accordingly, however i then often get hit when it’s JC’d in divekick…lol.
Atleast when used from pointblank i can be certain after say a jumpin it will crossup, unless i’m using Hugo…
Other times when it is less obvious when she is farther away like you said it becomes a true problem. Think i’ll have to be alot more patient and try my chances when obvious gaps arise.

I do believe you she can do a block string from jabs to c.hp and it gets weird. Some characters hk works? Most moves hit into the front not back.

I think the nerf is on block, not hit.

Basically makes random Senpusha’s easily punishable.

From that balance patch thread:
Juri - lk pinwheel on stand block becomes -5, mp pinwheel on block (both crouching and standing) becomes -10. If her dive kick is blocked it forces the move to “sink in” (I guess she lands closer to you now,not a juri player sorry)

I like this balance patch because if this is all Juri is going to get nerfed, then maybe she won’t get nerfed in future patches. The MK Pinwheel needed to be more unsafe mainly because in certain situations, it was relatively safer than the LK variation. i.e. People purposely throwing out MK Pinwheel -> Counter.

The Dive Kick nerf from what I’ve read is that it will put us closer to the opponent so they can punish easier.

as far as senpusha on block — don’t do a senpusha when someone is blocking; learned that SSF4 do a fuhajin store or something else instead.

anyway very glad she’s not getting the hammer yet. I was so glad that one of my gals is pretty strong. Juri’s got some great – assets

Question: EX Senpusha, has anyone else have trouble sometimes trying to use this as a reversal? I know it’s not her best option but still. Soemtimes a person will be trying for a crossup and, despite her window of invulnerability and also that it should hit front and back, I am sometimes completely knocked out of the attack. I find this weird.

Yea, as in AE the ex-wheel still seems to get beaten by late jump-ins.

Ex pinwheel is not a proper ground to air reversal. If you’re going to commit to any reversal, why not just kasatushi?
