I literally just read ultimate spiderman hardcover 1-9. I forgot how great this series was. It got me back into comics. Bendis is a fucking genius.
Its hard to believe the brutality of it…
Ultimate Spiderman is too good. I personally like it more than 616 Spidey…which isnt hard with all the BND shenanigans still going on:bluu:
SPIDER-MAN IS MARRIED AGAIN IN THE COMIC STRIP!!!
Go Stan Lee Go! :lovin:
You can read the strip here -
I thought it was fanwork, but really Sano, that’s a week old, good sir I am disappointed in you >=3
…but w00t nontheless.
Yeah I read the strip in batches lol! Today I caught up.
The strip is supposedly ghost written by someone. No one knows for certain. I can’t say it bugs me because Stan is like 86 lol can’t picture him doing the writing chores for a daily strip. Chances are he advises since whenever he’s asked about it he knows what’s going on. He said un-marrying Peter was ‘only for a little while’ a long time ago.
Either / or his brother Larry Leiber still pencils though so it’s all good. And now Wolverine’s guest staring hell yeah! :nunchuck:
Been a while since I posted in this thread.
Not sure about the upcoming relaunch for Ultimate Spider-Man, but I’m willing to give it a chance.
July 28th, season one of Spectacular Spider-Mn on DVD. Make sure you nab yourselves a copy. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Spectacular-Spider-Man-Season-1/11906
And if you want to read a cute/funny webcomic, The Amazing Adventures of Puny Parker is highly recommended. http://reggieblogged.blogspot.com/2009/05/puny-parker-is-amazing.html
First movie poster for Spider-Man 4. Reveals absolutely nothing.
The last issue of Ultimate Spider-Man was terrible. Talk about going out with a whimper. It was a good run overall. I’ll miss that comic.
Silent comics are awesome and Stuart Immonen is a god.
That is all.
Oh yeah? Well, MY god has a BANHAMMER!
Fair enough. The art was as good as the writing was bad. Still a terrible final issue though. The comic was going downhill for a while though so that should have been expected.
Looks like the Spider-Man 4 movie poster is fake lol!
BTW the second season of The Spectacular Spider-Man will FINALLY start airing in the United States on June 22nd.
Its not the final issue, on multiple accounts. One, theres a Ult. Spidey Requiem issue coming soon. Second, its starting over with the same writer.
But seriously, that issue was bullshit. 4 bucks for a silent issue and no revelation on Parker? :annoy:
Yes it is. As far as I’m concerned I’ve just read the final issue of Ultimate Spider-Man. Ultimate Spider Man Requiem (whatever that means) is a title with it’s own name and number. The comic is being retitled Ultimate Comics Spider-Man. Trust me when I tell you that the change in Spider-Man is not only in the title.
Art is more important than story in a comic book so I don’t care about the new comic having the same writer (especially this writer) as the old comic when the new artist blows. He drew the recent Ultimate Spider-Man Annual which was painful to watch. We’ll see how long people continue to tolerate Bendis’ long-winded, decompressed writing when it’s no longer carried by stellar consistent artwork. Not this guy. I’m done.
You can think what you want, you’d still be wrong. Ultimate Spider-man Requiem is the final issue of the first run before it moves into Ultimate Comics Spider-man #1.
And art being more important than story is…well lets jyst say that because Jim Lee drew it doesn’t make All-Star Batman and Robin good.
More info on the upcoming Spider-Man Musical. LOL at Carnage’s Broadway debut.
Supposedly Dunst will be back in Spider-Man 4. Not the biggest fan of her as MJ, but I’m not a fan of when they start switching up actors either in long running franchises either. So good news I guess…
