Sup yall? This is my first painting done all in painter. lol I am still not use to drawing on a tablet so bear with me. This painting was done in about 5 to 10mins. Please feel free to critique or comment. Enjoy
That’s pretty good for ten minutes. Really nice colours. But whats the point of painting so fast? If you slowed down it would have been that much better.
Thanks. Well, my teacher said I should do a couple 5 to 10min paintings because it will help me stay loose. I have a problem of always locking myself into certain parts of a picture and not getting a complete look of the piece. By doing speed paintings it makes sure I have to work the whole picture, and not really get into too much detail. Its just a practice exercise basically.
Ahh, I see. I’ve never had that problem, it’s pretty much the opposite with me. Most of my stuff is really quick and loose, I often have trouble doing really tight detailwork in my art. But I see how that kind of exercise could help you.
I like what you’re doing here man. Speed painting is fun. Although I’m not that fast at all.

Another 20-35min speed painting. lol I feel I am getting a lil better with drawing directly with the tablet. It’s still not the same feeling as paper and pencils though:(
whoa!! looks great dude, i got this painter classic vers when i bought my tablet, but its totally weird and i dont know how to use it lol, im more comfortable with my photoshop, but i wanna learn how to use painter too, anyways lol great paintings!! u really know how to work with tones and lighting

Another 25 to 30min speed painting. I wanted to play around with painter so instead of using a paint brush tool, I tried out the pastels and coarse blending tool.
Very cool hb. Speed paintings help you build confidence and also makes you paint and think alot faster which sis good for you. Good job so far. I see that you use alot of ochres for skins. Try throwing some pinks greens oranges in there.
