Spectral vs. Generation

You live in Japan, so I’ll just go ahead and ask:

Are there any small groups of people that still play this game over there?

No, i have yet to see this game in an arcade. Ko-hatsu doesnt have it anymore, and even in Akihabara, or the ton of other arcades ive been to in Osaka don’t have it. Prolly cause the game is a flop as people said. =P

Hahaha, that’s pretty sad considering there’s at least 1 or 2 pockets of players for a good variety of sleeper hits over in Japan. I’ve only seen like 1 or 2 vids of it in action, but hearing this I guess it is safe to say that game was a steaming pile.

I bought the PS2 version on release and can say that it is at least fun, if not great. I honestly think it’s better than people make it out to be.

SvC is more playable amirite?

I’m afraid you are…

… I didn’t think I’d say that, even once.

It’s out in Europe. Dunno bout you ppl, but I’m getting it just for the heck of it.

Go talk to Master Chibi, him and his lame ass playing this over MBAC, right Chibi?

Wow this game is ass, the source material is great though.

the music is ass, especially that dumb stage with the lyrics

That’s not stage music. It happens during the final round and other random things.

How did this thread get resurrected? The infinites in this game make me vomit!

Any difference between the Japanese version and the Euro version PS2?

If you ban infinites the game is actually alot of damn fun.

There’s an absurd amount of potential in the game too.

:3

Final round music destroys all hope of this game ever reaching competitive play.

I loved Generation of Chaos on PSP, and it was released for PSP in Europe, so why not give it a try?

too true… this game really isn’t bad at all there just happens to be alot of fucked up things that can happen at any given point and time so you’ve got to be constantly on your toes… also maybe its just me and i don’t know if you guys have tried this but those time freezes infinites aren’t guaranteed, if you quick recover at the right moment once you hit the ground you can stop that shit cold… maybe its just me and my friends aren’t very good at that shit yet but even so we decided not to use them anyway… there are enough semi infinite type set ups in the game to suffice and some chars don’t even need em

Was this the full version or just the in-game intro version?? And if someone has the full version, could they PLEASE share it?

Came out a while ago it’s kinda fun for like 10 minutes but from what i’ve heard it’s not suited for competitive play because nearly everyone has some broken infinites.

damn; gotta love broken fighting games on a handheld…
