In Season 2 we saw a big nerf to DP. The invicibilte frames was removed.
So after this a big doors was open for the grabber to catch with special command throw.
Now as special comand throw is too strong capcom want to nerf it in S3 by adding more recovery…
I think this is stupid because it doesn t resolve the issue. It s already punishable.
So i would like to know what pepole are thinking about it and i wanted to share my point of view.
I would say that the special comand grab for the grabber caracters is what the dragon punsh is for the shoto caracters. Regarding this, the correct nerf for the special comand grab must be a removing frame invisibility on the startup. And make it only invisible on Ex like the DP .
But i dont get the capcom point of view…why nerf the dp ? At this point is was clear that a big Door would be open for the grabler to catch very easy with comand Throw…
And now they give more recovery on whiff to the comand Throw…It is not more logical to nerf comand throw in the same way that dp get hurted ? i mean removing invisibility on the strat up for Comand Throw isn t the best way to balance ?
My character zeku, has a dp. I seem to remember using it to AA people very well. Also has an ex version that I seem to remember using on wakeup to blast through my opponents offense…
Command grabbers wish they had such a “useless” dp.
Command grabs don’t have invincibility on startup.
Most dp even the meterless ones, have a version that is throw invincible only. Use it… or jump?
