A UT Austin student by the name of Hayamachop (or Justin Tu) has started talking to me about a SSF4/MvC3 tournament on the side of his CCG tournament on the UT Campus, only problem is that it’s the same weekend as Final Round. Says he can’t move it, but it would be for two days.
Think it would still be possible to get a decent turnout?

My name is Jeff and I work at the GameStop on @ 909 E. Irving Blvd in Irving between Nursery and O?Connor. We are doing a midnight release for MvC3 and a free tournament starting at 9 PM on Monday 2/14/11. There will be at least a $20 gift card for the winner and we are working on more prizes. Actually… they (FX Games) have decided to push it back to the following weekend because they do not want to run it on a Sunday. So now it is on the 26th.

What’s everyone planning to run MvC3 on for their tourneys? It looks like KTB will be running it on PS3
Dallas will be using Xbox and San Antonio as well, to my knowledge
The RGV will be using XBOX as well. It is the only console that we have an abundant supply of so the choice was made for us. At get togethers we only use xbox and Lets Play Arcade along with NE1 LAN CNTR use mostly xbox.

I just saw the updates guys. I was really busy all day Friday and there was a tournament today that I attended which took up my whole day. I will update everything tomorrow after I awake from my slumber.

So I think there is a Laredo tourney on the 26th of March featuring Mike Ross and Gootecks, because I got the FB invite and didn’t see it here. I was going to announce a tourney date of the same day, but will push it back.
April 2, 2011 Proving Grounds - Central Texas (In the process of getting this UCC sanctioned :tup: for MvC3 and SSFIV.
I saw the Laredo tournament awhile back but that was when they had the incident with the tournament name so I didn’t want to put it up till that was resolved. I’ll update everything in a while. I gotta finish some stuff here at work first.
