seriously though, folks need to come out and show this spot love, because every time i have gone, it has been nothing but fun. simon is always looking to improve and seriously sounds like he’s down for the scene (just don’t suggest DDR).
whats wrong with having DDR? i wouldnt mind see some sort of activity going on rather than ppl just standing around/sitting and staring at the screens. but is there even anymore room at STA to fit anything else? IMO i think theres too many fighting games for such a small place (not that its a bad thing). i notice alot of ppl walkin and right out when they dont see a good amount of variety. and is it possible to fit a small table in there for our drinks?

well, variety is one thing, but seriously, if you’re going to play ddr, that’s what the ‘arcade’ at the metreon is for. as for the people walking in and out, well then it’s not their cup of tea, and the space they would have taken up would be better served to hold someone who’s get next at a cab. i also see folks (like me and my friends) who walk in, and our eyes light up. i think southtown knows the crowd they’re trying to cater to. IMO, they’re not trying to please everyone, they’re going for a target audience…and they’re doing a kick-ass job so far.
lol not sure you should be drinking in the arcade anyway.
besides, tunnel top bar is right up the stairs, and it is one of the sickest spots in the city.

That DJ player on the weekend was really good, best DJ I have fought.
They need to start selling boba in this place. There is just enough room for a counter and small food prep area behind the KOF cab.

Been really awesome playing a lot of new games with people at Southtown. Still trying to get people to consider Melty Blood though! If more people show interest, Southtown might purchase it. Other than that, I’m having a blast playing people in KoF and utilizing their 10 minute training mode for the game! So awesome! Any other KoF players been enjoying this boon?
On the food though, there’ve been a number of people who walk in and drop their stuff on the floor. Rather than pick it up, they leave it. If it’s ice cream, I’ve watched someone stop it into the ground to cover it. That’s just nasty and it shouldn’t be let go. Hell, I’ll come in with a mop if it means I don’t have to step in someone’s popsicle/ice cream nastiness. I enjoy the place immensely and don’t like when them allowing food is abused.
