Yes…even with as loud and sometimes arrogant I come across, I will always try my best to promote CVS2 and teach people whatever I can. Decent turnout for the first ranbat, but I know there’s a lot of SF based players that weren’t there. My apologies again for blatantly confusing the Keystone bearded white folk. I knew you weren’t Darry when I got there, but over the course of the day I convinced myself that you were. =) I will definitely be at every ranbat as long as my schedule stays consistent.
Oh…and don’t forget…Haunts will hustle you. With Sagat, for quarters, for sandwiches…everything!!!
I really hope everyone keeps supporting CVS2 ranbats. We’re working ong etting direct feed and making everything nice and purdy for next time but we need your support! We had like 10 people this time, id love to see even 15 or so at the next one.
GGs CvS2 heads! Props to Southtown staff for running a smooth tournament. Really dug the h2h setup as well. I will try to bring some more people next time, and hopefully others will do the same.
Guh, stupid bank won’t take my deposit. ;-; This is bunk. Just have to deposit it in the morning…
Anyway, get that practice in, KoFXIII, SFIV:AE, and MvC3 ranbats are THIS weekend. Are you ready for this?! Get your game on and hype it up for our next big brawl!
I play 100% every match in tournaments…it’s just my team selection that gets sketchy. I had decided to use A-groove for at least the first game against “Mike Hawke” because the winner’s final was too stressful. K vs K is almost as stressful as K vs A when the other player is equally good at JDing. It’s easier…mindless in a lot of ways…for me to play A, and I wanted to see how game 1 went. It just worked out better than I planned, I guess.
The H2H was a big surprise, and most welcome.
I’m pretty sure the only time I played A was in the grand final, so I wouldn’t say A-groove dominated the tournament. There was a really good balance of grooves, aside from S and N, but that’s always how it is. I can play S and N next month at the risk of getting dropped to losers early, but I’d drop it after game 1 if I lost.
As for the taunting, I noticed the 3 times it happened to me it wasn’t 'cause I was mashing, and it didn’t feel like I was close to the start button. Each time I did it I was going for a super or special move at a clutch moment or some other situation where I naturally press the button harder. I think it might be a similar issue to that old school trick of slamming the cabinet to make your opponent’s roundhouse go off rather than us actually pressing the start button. Whatever the reason, at least no one has lost a match because of a random taunt, so far.
