There is going to be a change in date for the MK9 ranbat. The reason is that we wanted iPlaywinner to stream MK9 and it was impossible due to the number of games that are happening with KOF, SF4: AE and Marvel. So we decided to start a new ranbat with MK9, SF3 Third Strike, CVS2 and SF: Super Turbo starting September 11. So mark your calendars for September 11 for the first MK9 ranbat. It will still be at Southtown Arcade. As the date approaches we will finalize a time when the ranbat will start. Check back at this thread for more updates. See you there!

Yea, everything’s all setup, Leezy. We should see some ranbats for CvS2, 3S, and SSFT II should start two weeks after. Looking forward to seeing some intense matches!

Hello, 2 quick updates to the thread in case you don’t follow us on twitter, facebook, visit our website or have a friend to pass the news onto you.

1. We have changed our business hours on the weekend to 3PM-9PM. So we are now opened Wed-Sunday 3PM-9PM. During special events and ranbats we’ll open earlier e.g. Southtown Ranbats are at 12PM.

2. The Southtown Summer Ranbats 1.0 is almost over. This Sunday would conclude the series for SSF4:AE and MCV3. The following Sunday(Sept 11) will conclude KOF13. Don’t worry, we already have the Fall series details out for you guys. We’re excited to annouce the Southtown Fall Brawl Ranbats 2.0! Here’s an update for the Mortal Kombat ranbat happening on September 11. Mortal Kombat will be accompanied with The King of Fighters 13 ranbat happening on the same day. Mortal Kombat will start around 1 or 2 pm, and will be $7 to enter. MK will be played on PlayStation 3. See you guys then!

Yes they are. Mortal Kombat, and now KOF is guaranteed to happen on Sept. 11. CvS2, Super Turbo and Third Strike are not, as far as I know ( I don’t know what is happening with those games, as I’m only responsible for the Mortal Kombat part of the ranbat).

Hey man, sorry to get back to you so late. So far Mortal Kombat, and now KOF are the only games confirmed, as far as I know since I’m only responsible for the MK9 part of the ranbat. I understood that CvS2, Third Strike, and Super Turbo would have ranbats as well, but this seems to have changed.

Before I forget, all characters are legal except Freddy, Skarlet, and Kratos and his stage is banned. More rules will be posted as the tournament gets closer, so check back often. Ask questions if you have any in this forum.

Quality Ranbat today guys, easily the best ranbat and grand finals we’ve seen. Noticeable improvement to Haunts and surprisingly RodgerDodger (I remember only a short few weeks ago he was only commentating, not even playing). Reiki you’re playing a lot more calmer so keep up the training! BBZ and Jose stir up the pot where Geo is conveniently missing (I kid, I know he had work)l, Fatacon for repping Duo Lon and holding his own, Hotpockets/Hax/NN getting possesed by Haregoro for a split second was fun to watch too. Respect to Demoninja for dropping Raiden and sticking with Kyo despite playing a strong challenger like Jose. GG and very entertaining as usual.
