Southpaw modifiable sticks?

I’ve been looking on and off for a good while for a stick that can be modded easily in to a southpaw configuration such as by simply mirroring the top plate. Failing that are there any decent custom builders around the UK or Europe or even that post over here?

Arcadeforge does custom work

Southpaw? you mean left-handed?

I’m left-handed and think stick/left and buttons/right is perfect as-is. I can’t imagine trying to use the stick with my right hand! It would be like trying to write right-handed. Come to think of it…how the hell do right handers stand using stick with their left, when all their coordination is in their right?

The stick and all its complex motions you need to pull off, definitely requires more coordination than button press combos.

Actually you’ve got it in one. I am right handed but can simply perform motions with my right hand and not my left. Like playing a guitar, a right handed player does the chord fingering with their left hand and the strumming (movement) with their right.

Arcades are obviously built in order to swallow coins as quickly as possible. I’ve often wondered if the layout of the stick on the left and buttons on the right wasn’t some kind of melicious trick to put the “average” (I.e the majority) player at a disadvantage. People growing up with the left stick have become adept nevertheless. I grew up with home computers. My first gaming system was an Amiga and I always used my right hand with those joysticks, but I’ve always struggled with arcade sticks.

You need the elusive but obtainable Nyko Free Fighter. $150/$180

I think you just need to practice more. Anyone can perform actions with either hand with enough practice. It takes 2 weeks.

Honestly, I think the word I use to explain how right handed players use a stick with their left is acclimatization.
You get used to it, with enough practice it becomes second nature. And then you stop really thinking about it all together.

Like how some people learn to write with both hands, it takes time and practice.
