I’m also extremely excited about this, hope it gets a lot of attention.
@nick, I’d honestly replace MK9 with MvC3 if you have to choose between one or the other. You’ll draw a lot more players.

So I guess the Tuesday night fight idea is dead? I’ll probly come out to the brawl in the mall. I’m in blue bell, like 20 minutes from kop, need to do some leveling up.
Saturday September 17th is going to be the first tournament, switched out MK9 with MvC3, come out, have fun, get salty. check out our facebook fro details

Applause for setting this up. Make sure to get it on SRK’s event calendar (people plan out their tournaments way too far in advance) and I’m trying to help make sure there are enough setups to finish the tournament in time.
set up in events, stupid question but can anyone ever get the insert pictures thing to work?
Hey. This is the guy who spoke to you in the store about your event the other day.
I am pleased to know that there are some players in this immediate area. I will meet most of you guys at the tourney, but would some of you like to start some regular play sessions? It would be nice to have a more local group to play with.
Sounds good, always good to have more Tri-state events. Saturday could be your date, the only local events on saturdays are monthly get-togethers at a place in glenside. lot more people could make it then than tuesday i bet.
I have an xbox with MVC3, and a TV lying around we never use. idk if the TV still works, though.
I also went to the store not too long ago to talk meet and talk to Nick in person. I’d also like to do some weekly sessions.
I’d definitely be in for some weeklies . I’ll be back at school in 10 days (collegeville) and whenever you guys wanna play, scheduled or not, I’d be down to host or drive wherever. I’m sick of having to drive an hour to play a game with a real person.
I’m down for some weeklies or something like that. You guys play mostly on xbox or ps3? Im on ps3 so i may have to get a converter or something… I have sf4 and mvc3, might have a spare tv.
I play Xbox, and I won’t have the cash to get my stick dual-modded for another couple months (grad school apps eugh.)
I recommend getting the dual mod over getting a converter, definitely.
Where are you guys at? Let’s try and work out some of the logistics. I’m in Collegeville.
I could run weekly casuals at the store, but since its a buisness I’d have to charge some sort of fee
I live in Phoenixville, but I go to college in West Chester. I’m still not sure what my living situation will be this year, but I’ll most likely be living in a house off campus.
I’m in Blue Bell, gonna have to look into the dual mod apparently.
Meh @ weekly casuals in the store if we have to pay, if that’s a rule by the mall that people coming for an event have to pay, that’s pretty lame. Prolly just do it at any of our places that can handle it.
Key Loc, I’m sure we can work out making sure there’s a stick for you to play on, especially if we get a couple guys coming out.
It seems like we’re all about 30 minutes from each other in a triangle, so whoever wants to have people whenever can go ahead and do that. Ideally, we’d find somebody inside the triangle
I live in KoP, about a mile from the mall, and we have a big apartment and could host. I have a few crts for older games, and more ps2 sticks and DC adapters than I know what to do with. Also a ps3 and two TEs. New tvs are easier to carry, so if people wanted to bring more of those it would be easy. I know my roommate wanted to start holding gatherings again, though we have a thing for older games (marvel, gear). Would anyone else rather host? Any ideas for preferred days?
That could really be convenient even for pre/post-tourney stuff. I can bring one TV, an xbox, and a copy of AE and Blazblue, but unfortunately, only one TE for the xbox. Question: do PS2 sticks work on a PS3? If so, I might look into taking one of them off your hands once I get my paychecks coming in, if you really have too many I’m in for whatever games, although the only ones I have experience playing competitively are AE, Blazblue, Marvel 3 (haven’t played for months), and Brawl. Learning 3S, too.
I can really only host 2 or 3 people at once, but that’s any day of the week, any time people wanna play. When you wanna run stuff, since you’re much better-equipped, you can definitely take precedence. Any day of the week is fine for me.
I like what I’m hearing. I can bring my lag free monitor for newer games if anyone wants to play in HD or whatever. I guess just about any day would work for me but I’d greatly prefer Friday or Saturday so it doesn’t interfere with school
A ps2 stick won’t work. PS3 uses a usb port, a standard one, so anything that works on a PC should be able to be used, unlike the 360 which has it’s own layer on top of usb so you can’t just use any old thing with the console. There are cheap mayflash sticks that have a pcb with an end split for ps2 and pc/ps3. They are cheap but great for modding since the cases are solid. We have 2 of them that are pretty busted and ready to be modded.
I don’t have anything for 360, so if we played on that people would need to bring consoles and sticks. As for ps3 I think I have every major fighter, though I gave away tekken 6 cause I only bought it for the wireless stick. I have everything imaginable for ps2.
I have off mondays and tuesdays, but we could probably host any day, as long as the days are consistent.
Awesome, I looked into the dual mod and it seemed a bit complicated, i haven’t soldered in years. lol
That all sounds good, it would be awesome if you could host. My living situation at the moment doesn’t exactly allow me to host, but i don’t mind driving out there/helping with rides. Saturdays typically work best for me.
