Here we go again!
In celebration of the release of SSFIV I’m going to have the second Street Fighter Tournament at the Souper Bowl just five days after the release of the new game.

It’ll be a new start for everyone and we can expect to see a lot of crazy new shit. Because I want to have this tournament right after release, I realize people might get random’d out by random new characters, so I’m thinking just $5 a player for singles this time.

Registration starts at 1PM. Tournament starts at 2PM

  • $5 entry fee
  • $5 singles fee
  • $10 2v2 fee ($5 a player)
  • Bring your own controller and/or stick (Then keep an eye on it!)

1st Prize: 70% of pot
2nd Prize: 20% of pot
3rd Prize: 10% of pot

SSFIV Singles on PS3

  • Matches are 2/3, 3/5 for Winners, Losers and Grand Finals
  • 2/3 rounds
  • Double Elimination

SSFIV 2v2 Teams on PS3

  • Waseda Style
  • Matches are 2/3 for Winners, Losers and Grand Finals
  • 2/3 rounds
  • Double Elimination

Waseda breakdown:
In a match, player 1 from Team A plays player 1 from Team B. Then player 2 from Team A plays player 2 from Team B. If one team wins both games, the match is over. If players from different teams win, then the winners of each of the previous two games play, and the winner of that game wins the match.

good shit, this will work out perfect for me since I don’t have a final for a few days after the 1st anyway. Not sure how good of a study tool ssf4 will be though.

there was a great turnout our first time at this venue and i hope everyone comes back out for SUPER!

1 week to train for super, lets see what gimmicks people can try to run. and try to stream/record like semi’s and up or something.

I’m definitely in there. The last event was awesome. Also, this will be a good warm-up for MWC, which will be on the following weekend.

Yeee, I think I’ll be able to record/stream this time, since I have plenty of time to figure that out. Although, I’ll probably ask someone else (luckyd?) to run the stream/recording since I’ll have to run the tournament.

Ill make it to this as long as I can get someone to cover for me. My prediction is an old character is going to get first and 2nd. Also im coming for the pho not for you thomas.

Looking forward to it. I can bring my ps3 and I’ll see if I can snag a TV somewhere–could be iffy on that but I am totally down for this.

Is this place big and not too overcrowded?

I’m posting ahead of time for a ride to Lowell from the Boston area. I’ll be willing to pay for gas or anything, just PM me if you got the space. I could bring a PS3 if I happen to find a ride but I don’t got a TV to go with it.

EDIT: Oh shit nevermind. I forgot I ordered from Amazon so I wouldn’t be getting my copy til later because I’m cheap. Unless someone wants to bring in their copy.
