I know I said i wanted to start coming now and I havent since the league started but shit keeps getting in the way. Sorry, working overnight tonight 11-7 so I wont be able to make it.

I got the Danisen League going pretty late last night, but I’m glad new people got into it. Here are the results/ranks for the last night:

Also, I wanted to comment about the concerns HalfEmpty had about:
- Switching the set to best out of 1 game
- Winner getting up after they ranked up
and I feel like he was left unsatisfied with the last word on the Danisen League.
Best out of 1 game keeps makes the match a bit harder where you’re going to have to adapt faster to win + the set is shorter so we can get more matches in.
We want the winner to get up after they rank up again so we can a more variety in our matches rather than just having one guy sit on the station winning until he has no one else to fight.
You also mentioned that you didn’t feel right playing with the new rule set after starting with that initial rule set in week 1. But I’m not sure what good resetting everyone’s rank would do. Right now, the ranks aren’t even spread out that much and like Alan (siyko) said, “it’s a self correcting system.” We only played ‘2/3 + winner stays on until they hit the top’ for 1 week.
I’m just bringing it up because I want everyone to have a good time while competing in this! Because it’s mainly for fun with the added plus of being able to know where you stand amongst other players.
And for everyone else, suggestions are totally welcomed for the Danisen League!

I also want to give a heads up, the Souper Bowl will not be open for us next Wednesday. I believe there’s something going down for Family and Friends of the Souper Bowl owners, so there won’t be any fight night/gaming.

It’s actually because I’d rather use a pad for MK, still not used to a stick. I still might drop by so I can get my ass beat in some SF. Worst Ryu in America, possibly the world here.

[]I’m going to attempt to setup two SSFIV setups for the danisen league, one for Dans 1-2 and the second for dans 3-5 (obviously the ranks will change as we progress)
[]From now on only one character per night. So I won’t allow a player who ranks up to switch to a new character like I did last night. We should be leveling up one character a night to move everyone up in rank, I don’t think CP has played in the league 2 weeks because no one has gotten to 4th Dan character to play against him.

I’ve switched over to justin.tv (link in my sig) The URL is a lot simpler: justin.tv/asiantom rather than, “ustream.tv/channel/asiantom”, which was a bit of a mouthful for someone who isn’t familiar. justin.tv also archives the files easier and allows me to easily upload it to youtube, so that’s all good.
I’ll be streaming at PWA this coming Tuesday as well as the SB the following night. I’ll be running tests over the weekend and hopefully getting my mixer Wednesday at the earliest… hopefully I get it Tuesday for PWA but I don’t think it’ll get here in time.
