Sound of hits and throws in the world warrior

I was just watching this vid about the history of street fighter:

http://uk.gamespot.com/features/6261412/p-7.html

got me thinking about how I prefered the sound of the hits and throws in SF2 world warrior as opposed to more recent versions of street figher

anybody else agree?

The sounds were much more visceral in the World Warrior. There’s nothing like hearing that sickening thud as your Fierce punch knocks the blood/oatmeal out of your opponent’s mouth.

I like them both, but I think I’d rather hear the new versions. I liked the WW sound effects because they were funny as hell (For example, every character shouts “PAH” when they throw someone, and the Hard attacks sound like you kicked the guy like fourteen times in the nads).

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I really want another Mt. Rushmore stage - with animated presidents.

There’s nothing like the sound of a fierce connecting in World Warrior.

Awesome description.

Oh, I totally agree. Hit noises have been pretty wimpy since SF2.

yea i definetly agree…could be just because i played so much damn championship edition in the 90’s and got so used to it…but i couldnt stand any of the sounds after hyper fighting…

I prefer/miss the old school sounds
