That was a pretty clever April’s fool joke, I’ll give him that.

Decided to put the season pass to good use and now I take back what I said about Amy. She’s quite fun to play, the whole roses mechanic and overall attack and range give her a very different feel to Raphael and having both as fencers in the game solves a problem I had with CaS, which is that they enforce less distinctive movesets to make them gender neutral. Besides, finally tying her to Viola in the story actually makes her relevant storywise, so overall she’s pleasantly surprising.

Still hope that the next character isn’t Cassandra cause a pure female DLC season is quite unbalanced, but Amy, Tira and 2B already made the season pass a win for me.

Still getting matches in PS4, and Reversal Edge feels much less annoying than before. Siegfried and Nightmare still exist, but hope Namco pushes the game for a 2nd season and a tour because I can’t give a damn about Tekken 7.

I really want to try Tira. Still waiting for that Setsuka.

New color variations are added to regular characters. To apply new colors, select COLOR 3 or COLOR 4 after confirming the character in the Character Selection screen.

Guard Impacts

・Decreased the amount of guard stamina used by guard impacts.

The amount is now between that of version 1.30 and the versions before it.

・Increased the amount of guard stamina recovered when successfully deflecting an attack.

A successful guard impact will bring you back to the amount of guard stamina you had before performing the GI.

・Fixed an issue in which the amount of guard stamina recovered and soul gauge filled after deflecting a projectile attack was different from the amount filled when deflecting a normal attack

this has now been changed so that the result of the 1st attack will be carried over until the 2nd attack’s actual start-up, making it easier to use attacks that become lethal hits when hitting an opponent who missed an attack, as well as those whose tracking increases against opponents who missed an attack

And Ivy and Nightmare have gotten some updates which I like.

When it comes to making balance changes, the dev team likes to ‘monitor the situation’ for a little bit instead of hastily get changes out there, they note that most of the balance complaints they’ve received are from overseas (outside Japan) players commenting after tournament wins.
[]Reversal Edge may be getting further tweaks but overall, they’re happy with the current function of the mechanic.

]No intention on giving Nightmare a 12 frame startup move because it’s not part of the character’s design.
[]Azwel is considered fine and ‘sufficiently strong enough’ from the dev team. (I wouldn’t expect many if not any changes towards that character in the future.)

]Updates to the online features and character creation are coming, they’ve already done work in improving those areas as they have different people working hard on different parts of the game.
[]For improving the Network Online Lag, there’s not much they can do here. (Speaking in terms of just making the ‘netcode’ better or designing the game around being played in laggy conditions. Most online lag related issues are client side with how the players have their console and internet connection set-up.)

]On adding Crossplay to SoulCalibur VI, it is not possible for them to implement it. It takes a lot of money to get that working and a lot of time from both Microsoft and PlayStation.
[]On letting players use either Male or Female customizations on any character creations, it’s still up for consideration. The dev team noted the difficulty of implementing this broadly due to the differences of the base models and having to adjust the positions of a lot of parts.

]Adding more stages to the game costs a lot of money but they’re doing their best in making that happen.

Brace yourselves there might not be a season 2. Project Soul is being way too quiet about Cass though they made clear more update for balance and QoL is coming.

Not the roundest ass, but the lightning on that picture doesn’t help - shes’ not that flat. Anyway, that’s not the most important part of the cosplay

I wonder if this game will have a second season pass. Interest seems really low, at least going by EVO entrants and general activity on SC online boards. I suppose we’ll know in three weeks.

From what I read on 8wayrun, this has been the highest number of entrants at EVO for any SC game ever.

…okay. I mean I’ve read that SC never was big in the competitive circuit but that’s really sad then.
