Soulcalibur VI - Lounge

I can’t wait to see SC6. Hopefully SC2 was their main inspiration. That game looked so hype.

They will probably pull a SF4 in terms of roster and go largely with SC2 and SC4 characters and designs.

SC6 should have SFV’s Shadow Falls story terminologies on which character(s) we use on the next story scene/chapter, as long as the storyline never ended up bad as SCV & SFV

The worst entry in the series, not including Soul Edge.

Atleast playing V will make you a much better player compared to playing III and IV

SCIII was a garbage game, SC2 was legit until 2D was found to let you block during sidestep. Legit all soul calibers had something wrong with them.

SC3 console was trash, agreed.

But SC3 AE IMO still remains the best SC. SC4 Broken Destiny was amazing as well.

Shame they didn’t make it to consoles.

In what way does playing Soul Calibur V make you a better player? It has more effective YOLO tactics than any game in the series and is lacking in Soul Calibur fundamentals…

Soul Calibur III: Arcade Edition is the most polished and balanced version of Soul Calibur to exist. Soul Calibur IV and Broken Destiny are slower, stiffer, more stun focused, and less balanced versions of Soul Calibur, while Soul Calibur V is an adopted alien hybrid. To call it Soul Calibur is an insult, a more fitting title would be Daishi’s Neglected Capcom Love Child.

No news for 6 in this TGS?

Seems not. Not sure if we can even expect a release by the time EVO Japan 2018 rolls around. They are pushing Tekken 7 exclusively.

Hope Shura gets added in this

Time for Bamco (and more than few SC players) to admit that a lot of what set the series adrift competitively post SC2, was trying to design a game that worked without Step-G. A lot of what makes SC2 feel great, fast paced, and even balanced, comes down to Step-G. And a lot of what makes succeeding games not feel as good was due to them trying to make the game work without Step-G. Step-G was a powerful defensive glitch that actually balanced out the powerful offensive options in SC2 - the same options that ended up getting nerfed, and making the game feel less fun in later games.

It’d be nice if they put out SC3AE on consoles/PC. SC3 had an awesome roster

Im hella hype for this game!

SC6 is said to be in development

"I was told it’ll be for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. There was no Xbox One version mentioned to me. The game should be revealed by the end of the year and make its 21st anniversary at least. One trustworthy source told me it would be revealed at PSX.

Enjoyed SC2. Enjoyed SC3. SC4 was quite a dissapoint and I paid 5€ for SC5. Now I think Namco owes me 5€ plus moral damages.

Not hype for this… At all

Is monkey still triggered?

I’ll find out in 13 hours when my flight lands.

Looks like you’re the one that is still triggered

I got a feeling Namco is gonna announce SC6 @ the beginning of 2018
Can’t wait to main Mitsurugi for another 6 years lol

The step G situation is interesting. I’ve wondered for a while now if maybe they could just give us a lot of safe and plus-on-block verticles. I’m no SC2 expert, but I always heard that step G kinda worked because horizontals we’re typically safe in that game. Maybe if the team really doesn’t want step G they can shift offense to verticles instead. I don’t know…as much I enjoyed SC5 there were times where matches felt restricted and turn based. I hope to see that remedied.

The SC5 team did work to make things more exciting than SC4…but Daishi no longer works with Project Soul and Harada will likely no longer be assisting like he did on those two games(a year or two back he said he wants to move on from older IP’s). There is no way to predict what kind of game is coming.

SC should be turn based and read heavy.
