So seeing as how this port is some ass, should I just pick up SCV for $15?
Was going to get it first but decided to wait for SC2 but then this happened.
Is V’s netcode good?
I’ve never had issues with V’s netcode. V is pretty fun too so I’d say that’s a good deal.
Regardless of all this stupid shit surrounding the port…I’m probably gonna end up buying it anyway, even if it’s just to play through that godlike Weapon Master mode again.
Then play your fucking ps2/xbox/gamecube version. Why would you spend more money to play SC2 offline when you ALREADY HAVE THE PERFECT VERSION OF SC2
Vs netcode is good by FG standards, still not good in my eyes.
Pick up SCII, from what I’m hearing the netcode is good it just doesn’t have alot of features and there isn’t any input delay offline.

V’s netcode is really good, i think TTT2 is the only fighter with better
seriously, with full bars it’s like playing in person, it’s orgasmic compared to what you get with capcom’s fighters

it is a good game, basic gameplay but with a good connection its good.
Got this for 360- anyone else notice that the saturation and contrast are turned up to an extreme? Have to adjust my TV just to make it bearable. Is the colour and exposure/contrast more acceptable on the PS3 version?
Also, has anyone attempted to get the Japanese version for either console? Can’t believe they omitted the Japanese voices for the english downloads. Grrr
That’s fine. Lot’s of people do give a shit. And they should. And it should be in there. It’s 2013. People want to play this older game with their friends to relive good times. Not waste time going in and out of menus. It’s lazy design.

How the fuck does a fighting game not allow you to skip intros and win quotes?
It sucks that this port is so bad. It’s my favorite SC and was my last chance to play as Yun again. Profound sadness…
It doesn’t let you skip the intros so it can fix lag before anything important starts.

All I want is confirmation of whether or not it has offline input lag.
If there’s input delay offline, then there’s a good chance that that same delay is being added to any delay you experience online.
Wow. Online sucks. Not necessarily the connection, but because there are so many shit players who have a semi-soul calibur knowledge and just proceed to troll online. I played AU_IM_DIGIMON who was easily the best player online at the moment.
There are a lot of online-god tier Yuns its hilarious. With a sub par connection he can spam his unblockable since it tracks and hunts you down. Also looking forward to the loads of Ralphael 6BBBB repetition. God some of this stuff takes me right back to 2003. And how inescapable it feels with you have lag issues. lol. Also all online players try to get the final okizeme kill with a low, so just punish their ignorance.
I been ranking up with Ivy but her tracking issues definitely make her worse online. So I been raping people in player matches with Taki PoRC.
I tried to let this series go but SC has to be my favorite series. Its been over 10 years and I still remember my characters. I couldnt tell you the first thing about SC3 or 4 Ivy but I remember SC2 Ivy like the back of my hand.
To be completely honest with you…SCIV would give you more bang for your buck in that its 4 bucks used at Gamestop, the cast diversity and strategy shit all over SCV.
But I own all of them, I keep saying I’ll get back in V but I really just dont care. SCIV is really good (but flawed) in hindsight 20/20 but it was really masterful in its execution. SCV just ends up being this big top tier whoring combo oriented high damage thing and that was never what SC was about. Lots of fast quick hits and short comboes, and real oki mindgames.

Well I say you were the best I played because it was obvious that the mindgame was there. We had good exchanges. I’m not familiar with SC2 Ralph tho, when SC was big around here I only played against Taki, Talim, Sophitia, Cassandra, Voldo and Kilik.
I have 23 win 17 loses if I count all the disconnects I’ve gotten from salty players I would have something like 70 wins 17 losses but oh well.
Everyone is so typical. They go for exactly what you think they will go for. No footsies, no throw breaking…blah.
I think the input is just SC2 in general. I input SS/CS too fast and fuck up the buffer. And I’ve gotten the wrong inputs from trying to 22, 66 or run up and stop or step back and punish etc etc.
I just got SC2 to stay frosty I also got tired of whipping out my PS2 just to play Calibur.
