Question: If I’m trying to combo my opponent after catching them with a c.MP, which version of Soul Spiral should I go for? I normally use the LK version, but the MK version does travel a further distance. Does the LK version have the fastest recovery, or does her HK version?
HK version recovers fastest and goes the most distance. I’m still testing out which spiral to use at what distance and on what character on my own since I’m lazy to go though all the match up pages on this forum.
Best thing about Soul Throw is that you can use it after hp reflect fadc mid screen or after hp reflect in the corner. Easiest way to combo this is c.lp xx hp reflect>fadcf>Soul Throw (mid screen). Thats the easy way. Most damaging way would be to use hp or c.hp.
Other way to combo soul throw is after Ultra 2 as an anti air or as part of the above combo. e.g.
j.hp>c.hp x xhp reflect>fadcf>Ultra 2>soul throw.
Last way of doing it that I know of is character specific but its good easy damage.
Focus Attack (crumple to knees)>dash>focus attack level 1>dash>Soul throw.
Metro I have no idea who made that outfit. Might be for a PC mod but if it is to be the next outfit I’ll love Rose all the more!

sorry guys i’m quitting rose. in the east cost it’s all about top tier and counter picking so i end up losing. I really try, but it’s becoming way to difficult to win with her now. i go to casuals or tourneys and everyone knows i play rose and i get counter picked. even character locked tourneys everyone plays Balrog…sigh…idk maybe i should just have her as a secondary. i’m switching to chun.
Why are you quitting Rose? Rose has a lot of potential against top-tier characters, but it takes a lot of patience and observation. It’s definitely not easy, it takes time. If you have trouble against Balrog, maybe you could look into the match-up a bit more. I understand how you feel, but if you really like Rose, and you feel obligated to change just because you have trouble against those that are higher tier, don’t let that get in the way. If you are deciding to go with Chun as a primary, I wish you the best of luck. I’m currently using her as a secondary; she’s definitely an unique character to play with.
