And in other news, I figured out how useful EX Reflect is. Say someone like Ryu EX Fireballs and you were already in a fireball state of Soul Spark. You recover, second hit ball comes due to the game mechanics (2>1 lol). EX Reflect that hit and it’s mind games. It’s gonna be 2 hit fireball and most people will still see it as 1 because the other hit had already clashed with Rose’s hit of Soul Spark.

i dont understand how ex reflect would change it back to 2 hits. ex reflect just ups the damage of the fb shes reflecting…no?
It converts it to 2 hits.

I had said this a while ago in the match up forum. I think they did this because of the complaints about the ex.reflect, which were kind of right the old one just reflected it and ppl just shot it down and u lost a meter but now they either have to block,jump or ex. to cancle it out (execpt characters that actually throw two seperate projectiles for ex then it just cancles out) which lets rose advance or predict/react to what happens.(it works pretty good with U1, much better than it used to) It’s a pretty good buff and one i didnt expect to see.
I picked up ranked mode again and now things are going well. I’m no longer struggling around the 5k mark. I’m on about 5900 BP with Rose now and 3200 PP. I still get annoyed though when I lose over 150 PP in just two losses when I’ve been on like a7 win streak and only earned about 80 lol.
Anyway it seems that things are not as hard when I join sessions instead of hosting. Looks like I’ll get to be a 6k Rose after all.
Yo, I think ranked matches has a cap on how far I can go on PSN. At any given time, when I try to do ranked matches and I search either same skill or more skilled, at most I’ll have around 3 possible opponents, all within the 2 bar range.
Mr.Flowers i hear you, you get a good streak going then lose 1or2 and all the time you put in just goes to shit,lol.(I swaer im never going to get 3kpp i always lose when i get to 2990 something last time it was 2996.) On another note i feel the opposite about searching and hosting when i host i think i fair better then when i pick one out. I think it’s less stressfull to kick ppl with bad connections then to look for one 2 or 3 times in a row.

i dont see a q and a so i will ask this easy question. What is the input for soul throw? And does it work like Chun Li’s (she’s my main so i would understand it)
The input for Soul Throw is forward, down, diagonal down-forward + punch. It’s really helpful in catching opponents that jump a lot, or against certain characters in general, such as Vega. I believe it has a really high priority, and the EX version comes with a few invincibility frames.

How it works is she jumps from the ground, up at a diagonal. The version determines the distance(LP goes the shortest, HP goes the longest). It’s not like Chun-Li’s throw, when you jump and you press LP + LK. I don’t believe there’s a shortcut.
Just think of it as a DP that you can only hit if the enemy’s in the air. Trade off is you get an untechable knockdown.
yes its the typical dp motion (but doesnt work like a dp) so you can use shortcuts like df, df. and theres another one but i dont know it. i dont use shortcuts cuz they screw me up.
anyway, when an opponent jumps towards you, or neutral jump in sweep range, you input the command (while youre on the ground) and rose’s hand will glow and shoot diagonal towards your opponent grab them and throw them to the ground. its a special air throw so its NOT like chuns/guiles/cammys air throw. its great stopping very aggressive/jumpy players and bad online zangiefs.
