Although I was much more impressed with Laugh’s Ryu, it was nice to see a bit of Rose representation on the stream 
the fact that he wasn’t a rose main’er was the issue for me though, since it basically really showed throughout the matchup. He basically limited himself to walkback cr. mp, st. rh, cancels into spiral, and buffered u1. It’s true those are the main weapons in this match, but there are finer details that push the match in rose’s favor that it seem he didn’t know. Whenever he got a techable knockdown and feilong teched, I was basically waiting for the crossup j. mk that never came. It woulda stuffed his flamekicks and led into tick throws. Too bad he didn’t know about it.
Mainly though, he just seemed to give up space for free without taking it back. Rose walking back is really as dangerous as it can get for most opponents trying to come in. Her offensive weapons are pretty sick if she has all the space in the world behind her. But most roses don’t know how to gain back space, which is possible but really hard. They hold back like a highschool kid with a credit card thinking its free money without realizing once you reach the corner, it’s time to pay up.

There were times where Laugh would try to get out via ex fireball, but mago pushed him back there. We also saw alot of cr.mp with no spiral cancelling because of Fei’s cr.jab OS. And then Fei’s stupid hitbox where Rose’s hitconfirm into ex spiral doesn’t work on him 
Also, Fei Long walks every character to the corner. The threat of cr. jab OS and a downback dragonpunch does that. I play Fei, and there hasn’t been a game where I haven’t walked the opponent to the corner at least once. It’s so easy.
Laugh should’ve taken more chances though. Don’t think I ever saw a reversal ex drill or a jump in.
And that’s why I think Rose v Rose is my best match up.
Because I can fight myself out of the corner (most of the time I don’t need to) and Rose cannot find their way out of the corner; and I find them backdashing into the other corner.
Most Roses think that it’s okay to jump out of the corner and not use her normals to fight their way out and with most Rose matches, I see that they just walk themselves there.
he did try using wake ultra tho lmao. But like the commentator said, japanese players always play safe so it wouldn’t have worked on mago I’m 100% sure of that
it will NEVER work. Meaties will recover way before Rose’s ultra even start unless they throw really slow fierces and roundhouses and he was throwing shorts and jabs.
Which is why the WHOLE time i’m backing up, i’m always thinking of a way to switch position or gain space back. And if you space yourself well enough after a cancel into spiral or fireball, you do an ambiguous jump to beat his flame kick. If you know he’s fishing for the slide, whiff a low forward canceled into EX SPIRAL. If he presses a button, it’ll confirm into the spiral. If he doesn’t, it’ll just whiff like regular. If he tries to focus it expecting a slide, your EX SPIRAL will beat out the focus attack afterwards unless you get retarded unlucky. He should also mixed in cancels into EX FIREBALL, fireball, and any spiral but light spiral if they blocked the cr. strong.
You’re going to get pressured into the corner playing against fei long. That’s just the nature of the matchup. But make him pay. He better take some damage if he wants to push you in. Take the rekka chip. Don’t try to punish his normals on block but instead aim to whiff punish his moves instead.

it also helps that rose doesn’t have spectacular corner pressure w/o u2. Slide jump. Maybe a risky fireball? Probably an EX one into a frame trap.

Lol yup, pretty much. I looked at my Facebook friend list one day and asked the inevitable question… who the hell are half these people?
I don’t mind though, until someone gives me a really good reason to remove them (very few). At the very least, I could start using them to coordinate matches, always need the practice.
