why worry about time skip. worry if the game will suck like sc4.
She’s human. I don’t see how she has the ability to obtain another body. If she makes the cut in SCV, she’ll be 34 and that’s it.
what exactly sucked about Soul Calibur 4?
What truly baffles me is how he can talk about 4 sucking, without mentioning the toothy suck that was 3.
Never got to play 3, but I heard it was somewhat unbalanced.
3 was a shitload of fun. At the very least, it had Zasalmel’s proper moveset as opposed to that abortion in 4. The gangbanging of commands is one of the reasons why my hype for 5 isn’t as big.
They severely gimped Talim, too, but that doesn’t mean I disliked the game. I found it challenging (much like I do with Makoto from SSF4) to get good with a low-tier character.
Well I did say I could be wrong. Afterall, its been years since I’ve played SCIII, and I’m pretty sure I got the idea from there somewhere. Not sure. Just hoping to see her make it to SCV. At least her age wouldn’t rule her out, as long as she didn’t die somewhere in IV and it was canon. I recall her dying in a few character’s stories when Nightmare devours her or something, but I’m just hoping it wasn’t canon. We’ll see.
The wrath of a thousand sensitive 8WayRun mods shall rain upon thee…
i skipped out on 3
an online COTS wold be excellent, I used to play that game with my friends, if they at the very least allowed you to assign a character to each controller that would be an excellent party edition, id pay for that as dlc
In before “hurr durr hilde, amy, star wars, critical finish.”

Want to believe, even though I haven’t truly vibed with the series since SC1. I’m willing to give it another shot, all the same.
My main thing is hoping that they resist the Capcom trend of putting in comeback mechanics for no reason. As far as concerned, Ring Outs are the only “equalizer” this series has ever needed.
I’ve heard horror stories about hilde and amy, but any game has a rather large rift between top tier and lowest tier characters anyways.
Star Wars, while seemingly out of place, didn’t break the game–although admittedly, Yoda is a bastard little piece of shit (but that has nothing to do with the Star Wars IP, just his mechanics in the game) It’s a good thing Yoda sucked ass anyways.
As far as critical finishes go, I felt it added a layer of depth to the game. While it didn’t really punish blocking per se, it encouraged you to do more than turtle the whole match and throw out the occasional poke, or even try guard impacts.
Meh, I didn’t see that gap between tiers. My Yun-seong went toe to toe with my friend’s Kilik. And he is better than me.
Plus Kura’s Talim, and there was the guy that took Zas to the Top 8 at Evo.

critical finish was never relevant to serious play, admit it
but what was it about sc2 that wins the heart of the core players? was it balance issue?
star wars and critical finishes were gdlk.
Who in their right mind would dislike a game because of Star Wars?
Let’s just face it: Soul Calibur peaked when SC1 hit dc, 2 was merely pretty good, and everything after really hasn’t been all that good since they stopped doing the best beta tests of all: arcade releases PRIOR to home releases.
I actually stayed with 3 longer than I did 4, 4 just wasn’t all that appealing as I thought it would.
