I tried to control it, but after hearing Daishi wanted to call this Soul Edge 2 my hype meter blew up. Been listening to Edge of Soul ever since.
I just hope the gameplay doesn’t betray my hype.
To me, it doesn’t make a difference whether it’s SC5 of SE2. Whatever the title, the game needs to be good. But I like where things are heading and the progression in time is something that the series needed.

Vampires generally don’t age. They just gain power after 300-500 years or so of existence.
Don’t they typically at least age to adulthood then stop physically aging? Though I guess that depends entirely on the work of fiction you are dealing with.
Vampires remain the physical age at which they became a vampire. Maybe that doesn’t happen in some crappy clit-flicker “Dark Fantasy/Paranormal Romance” bullshit novel by some sex-starved middle age female author…but we ALL know that shit ain’t right. Vampires are undead, not alive. They no longer age or grow old. A 6 year old who is infected will 700 years from now STILL be a 6 year old, although much more powerful, and a little creepy due to the maturity that comes with remaining alive so long. BTW, what frickin’ airhead decided to make vampires sexy and appealing? They need to be shot.
