I agree 100%, not to mention she isn’t as annoying as Taki. No more hideous screeches.
Hey now, that’s mah girl you’re talkin’ 'bout…
My main SCV partner is a Mitsu main, and even though they broke some of his BnB’s from SCIV, he still agrees this is the best version of the game since SC2. I don’t know why this site doesn’t have a dedi’d SCV board. =/
Probably because 8wayrun exists, and the dedicated boards usually turn into ghost towns shortly after they are created.
Just a reminder in less than half an hour, Namco’s Soul Calibur V World Championships will be on TeamSpooky’s own3d.tv stream at http://www.own3d.tv/teamspooky.
And in case you don’t know who’s playing

Why would you counterpick Nightmare vs Akire?!
I’m really dissapointed at the level U.S. is at right now. Most of the recent matches i’ve seen from our players (except for a few players like Linkrkc) have been really sloppy or unimpressive. So they need to level up fast before Evo .
Anyway ,Omega is a beast. No fear and Godlike yomi.
People need to realize in the U.S. that SCV is a much more superior fighting game than the current Capcom games. Better than Tekken as well. It’s almost like Street Fighter 4 but with swords, 3D, and faster gameplay. What’s not to love about SCV? (despite the single player.)
It’s almost funny that every time I play ranked games, 4-10 people are using Ivy or Aeon nowadays. It’s also sad that I lose to all Ivy players, no matter if they’re just spamming the same move over and over again.
I haven’t played online in a while… I just remember chewing up Ezio’s left and right at launch.
Either have I, My record is 38-35 I believe, but it was negative earlier with me at a D5 rank.
Regarding the Siegfried vs Nightmare matchup when OmegaDR and Keev played, this matchup is one of the worst for Nightmare. IMO it kind of took away a bit of Omega’s victory from me as I would’ve rather seen Omega beat Keev’s Nightmare straight up. But regardless of that, I give my utmost congrats to Omega for taking the World Championships home.
Toilet’s Zwei was legit, but the other Japanese competitor CHK is somewhat out of his league in Namco’s WC. I would love to see Namco do more of this in the future.
Omega doesn’t like mirror matches, so he picked sieg. A win is a win!
Hm ok. Indeed a win is a win. But for me personally it still takes somewhat from the win because of that matchup.
This is ridiculous because both players can use whoever they want and have the ability to counterpick. There’s no rule that says you need to stick to one character. Plus its on Keev to be ready for whatever bad matchups his character has. Plus he plays against the best Siegfried player in the world.
Anyway, SCV is currently live from Stunfest. Spread the word and check it out.
Well personally doesn’t mean that whatever I say is final and the law, it’s only for me. Of course I understood the fact that players can pick whoever they want to win the 10 grand. No such thing as honor. What I’m stating was my opinion & it wasn’t laid down as a fact, as a law or as the right thing, only what I think. & I know it’s wrong by a long stretch, but it’s still what I think. Ultimately it’s an agree to disagree.
It takes a lot of time and effort to learn a character, OmegaDR knew that he can gain an advantage by switching to Siegfried against Nightmare (who is very common at high level of play) so I fail to see why he doesn’t deserve the advantage he’s getting. If anything he deserves additional respect for being smart and more well prepared than Keev.
Does anybody know if the Hori PS3 SCV stick works on PC? I’m debating whether to get that or the mad catz ones.
You’d probably get a quicker answer in Tech Talk.
Well, there yeah go, I was hoping there would be more discussion on the Siegfried vs Nightmare matchup. But anyhow, can’t take the win away from Omega especially if he indeed did know the advantages in that Siegfried vs Nightmare matchup and practiced his Siegfried vs Nightmares.
