I think it would push the special mode into magnificent territory

Actually, the 3D beat-em-up would work even better in the Soul Calibur series. With less emphasis on juggling, more clearly defined ranges, and longer ranged attacks in general, fighting multiple opponents would look and feel great compared to how it was in T6.

How would the casuals get alienated? The great single player has been part of the Soul Calibur series since the beginning, so now they can focus on the actual game mechanics.

I only said they shouldn’t release vids yet because the casuals will rip it to shreds simply because of the graphics. Which in turn starts a bad stigma, people tend to under estimate how much that effects things.

Oh well I can get behind that logic. But I don’t think ‘casuals’ is the term to use. That sort of thing comes from the FG community, tbh. Casuals are loving it, or don’t even know what a Soul Edge is. lol
