I will show off my skills like this when I get a better internet connection. I can show off my CAS Mega Man XD
Well, that IS what’s best in life.
I can’t help but agree. But I don’t wanna call it bullshit, but it pains me so to nail a situational combo to be guardbroken after landing it because they realized I can play and wanna do interupt calibur 5 or I’m outdamaged by some silly shit that I’ve dodged 10 times already.
The offensive shift is one of the reasons this is my current favorite SC game (except when the nostalgia goggles are on, in that case, back to SCII).
Thats weird cause before I hated the way the series worked at high levels of play, before high level play was boring as hell to watch, now its actually watchable.
I’m playing not watching. I could care less if its fun to watch at high level if I have to sacrifice fun on the levels before it… Also there is no one that high level yet.
IMO, games that are more offense heavy are more fun at high levels than games that are more defense heavy.
Tbh theres not much difference between a soul calibur 4 match and a soul calibur five match
aside from just guard and the over drove damage
its about the same
I dunno man, Keev and other people were really on point today at WGC, and Ramon vs Woahhzz at Winter Brawl was a good display of some early high level play in this game.
I for one welcome the change of pace from the turtling nature of past games despite being a defensive player myself.
Only thing I really fucking hate is the way guard meter works, guard not resetting inbetween rounds is dumb as fuck.
i swear im about to throw my ps3 out of the window. Goddamn mitsurugi floatin around and shit goddamnit
I’m gonna drop out of this game for now. I’m consistently getting destroyed online by literally everyone I face. Shit’s not fun anymore. Guess though I liked Broken Destiny, using it to become good enough at 4 to hold my own online, V just isn’t my cuppa.
This game has alot more high damage stuff going on which is fine IMO. IT can be rough to play.
Hell I am playing supposely “not too good” characters and it can be rough.
But just focus on getting better. Punishing and reading frame data. I do not read frame data so I instantly miss punishes all the time. I just kinda guess it which is bad lol.
Watch the World Team Cup.
Does anyone have a “tier list” yet. Even if its just ones opinion… Im just.curious as to whos.good.in the.game
Too early really. But most get who in general is good or bad or about average.I think outta the ppl I play.
They are average at best besides Omega.
From what I’ve read on 8WR, aPat, PyrrhaO, and Natsu are considered very strong. The game hasn’t even been out for a month, so things will probably change as players become more acclimated to the new mechanics.
When you test combos in training mode, you need to test every combination of Ukemi and Air Control individually.
Ivy won the 8 way run tourney today. Interesting enough. I am not that surprised since I main her. She is still viable just not great. I just hate how she is very CH and meter dependent.
Other characters without bar can do alot more. Her with bar is scary though. The player was really good though.
Most Ivy players left her since all her stances got removed and they remove almost half her moveset and combined it to one.
I played her since SC2, but still miss the complicated Ivy.
Same with Raphael. I miss all his Prep stances.
Removing moves, stances and other stuff in some characters is maybe a really dumb move from Namco, and please don’t use the typical argument “the game was oversaturated with moves” because it was unnecesary for some moves that made characters more fun.
