As a Mitsu player I understand, yet enjoy your salt.
Really, you just need to need to play patient, make the right reads and punish hard. Mitsu’s big damage comes from highly unsafe stuff. 2KB is -17 on hit!. you can get a free BB or throw after he hits you. 1A, and 66BB which seems to be what most online mitsu’s use is also very bad.
Mitsu can use delaying his attacks to throw you off. he can hit confirm the first 66BB, or he can delay it to see if you push any buttons after blocking the first hit. 2KB can also be hit confirmed on counterhit. his 3B has a BE version, which unlike other BE’s, the A+B+K can be inputted well after the 3B, giving it a delay too, so if you block 3B still look out for the BE follow up.
As a Mitsu player I have to partially agree with Zane. Part of it is just me getting used to SC5, but I still haven’t gotten over the loss of some of his old moves yet.
I’m still feeling the loss of Relic, I hate that his GI’s are gone, I also miss his old Just Frames.
Legendary Souls is freakin’ awesome. Only character that gave me troube was Edge Master, but it was all mad fun. You ain’t gonna scrub out the CPU in Legendary Souls, you’re gonna have to play solid. The AI plays like how a good player would play, absolutely the best fighting game AI I’ve witnessed. I was hesitant at first because people were saying it’s cheap and reads inputs…well, lolno
You know I am started to enjoy SCV mitsu, maybe as much as SC4 version, sure, losing RLC hurts, but I hardly used MST and now it’s my go to for close range mix-ups. Mitsu feels so fun in this new engine, that I forget that RLC even existed when I play.
At the beginning of this vid there’s a bit of decent Hilde play. Shen Yuan (the hilde player) was a fantastic Hilde player in 4 and he got by without binds. Keep in mind this video is like a week old and he’s only dabbled in Hilde at this point.
thanks for finding a video of ANY good hilde play, this game is just getting its legs going so it’s hard finding stuff, and 8wayrun’s hilde section is a wasteland right now. though skatanmilla is posting there now, so that’s good news (assuming he sticks with the game and the character)
It’s like Alpha Pat is similar to C. Viper. Probably one the hardest to use characters along with Viola but effective. Not saying Viola isn’t effective, she’s got a lot of potential but she needs more time to develop.
I also play hilde and it’s a up hill battle every match.
In sc5 as compared to others it’s to easy to get away with mashing buttons.
Hilde can’t do much about any character mashing on her. So you defense and spacing have to be on point. Also breaking throws is a pain… It’s no longer 50/50 but even lower for hilde players.
Basically a good hilde player could prob be a great any other character player.
She’s not bad at all and in the right hands still high tier IMO but if defense isnt your strong suite… Pass
That’s funny because I unlocked Kilik by running and slide-kicking him repeatedly to ring him out. Haven’t tried the rest of Legendary Souls mode, though.
When I get pressured, I usually block until I find an opening. Punish with 2A+B; it’s pretty fast and relatively safe. Then GTFO of there - I find 44B works pretty well.
So i picked up Lexia as a main and oh god what have i done… i legit have fun playing with her and am gonna put some work with her… i always have to be on the defensive until i can get it which is rather hard sometimes especially against nightmare & seigfried. plus the fact that she hits like a damn ladybug is frustrating… oh hey 3-5 hits from nightmare and im dead… sheesh
also like pyrrha (regular and omega) … Hilde is good too…
any 360 folks wanna get some player matches in gamertag: MrOuijaII
Viper isn’t that hard to play. That myth needs to die.
Alpha Pat is pretty damn good I also think he might be better than Natsu. Not by much mind you but better.
I think Natsu will drop one or two spots once people figure out how to fight her. Her PO stance moves can be stuffed pretty easily one you get nice at reacting to it.
Hilde is very nasty in this game. Solid moves, range, nice lows, good damage and CH properties, great guardbreak ability, oki, exceptional CE, etc. Wall juice leaves a bit to be desired and you can tell that they definitely attempted to weaken her ring-out ability in order to prevent new brokeness. Obviously charges are the core of her style. But you cant let charges hinder your defense, mobility, or offense. This is where most players picking her up arent able to adapt and in that regard she’s def not a beginner character.
I expect her to be top 5 or very close once dust clears and the masses actually learn how to play.
