Silk, for men’s *barongs maybe, (although we prefer husi or piña). *Silk see through pants? In one of the most hardline conservatively Catholic countries in the whole world? I think not.
Noticed that as well. That’s why we were wondering if they changed the GI system.
Reason for the stiff faces: Facial animations have not been added to the game yet. That’s why they’re expressionless, and the gameplay trailer (by design) avoids their faces as much as possible. Source: Daishi’s twitter
Oh shit! I had no idea there was a Soul Calibur 5 thread on this site already. I’m really hype for this game! What little gameplay that was shown in that trailer has piqued my interest. I mained Talim and Yun-Seung since SC2. I hope to God they’re both in this one. I’m so maining this game when it comes out.
I think you are pretty far off. Pat is “the bad guy.” My guess is the story is he leaves to go chase the sword because he wants it’s power against his mother’s wishes hence “goodbye mother.” Pyr grabs Sophie’s old weapons and chases after him to stop him. That is probably far more likely of story. Remember the original soul edge was essentially a bunch of people wanting the sword for its power not knowing of its danger. The new characters will fall into this plotline again.
Even though Namco skipped the Mokujin Style Character last game, If they bring it back I want Olcadan. There really aren’t enough Bird headed characters in Fighting Games these days.
I get so tired of that. It’s just the third laziest way to expand the cast (and Namco is really pushing things with Christie and Eddy still being damn near interchangable…they need to switch it up and have Christie do Regional and Eddy do Angola). The first being MK’s pallette swaps, second being SF’s ken/ryu/gouki/evil ryu head swaps.
