Based on my (somewhat limited) play time and what others have said, the block stun in SC5 is much greater than in SC4, which had really, really shitty frames to compensate for the Critical Finish mechanic. I believe the basic dynamic now is that verticals do more damage to the guard gauge and generally have better frame advantage, while horizontals are quicker and kill step/quick step. Guard crushes also give frame advantage now, unlike in SC4 where they were often negative on block or even punishable (wtf?!).

I only mained three to four characters in sciv and enjoyed it for two years

How are tournaments going to handle āCreate a fighter onlyā styles, like Devil Jin? Is that going to be instantly banned? (Just wanting to know because Iāll probably play Devil Jin if its not)
Itād be nice if Namco just put in Devil Jin or some character that uses his moves on the roster. Thatād solve everything. Watching Harada play as Djin vs Yoshi, he didnāt even seem overpowered. If anything Yoshi was doing more damage.
So I hear Kilikās in this game. I was gonna pass up on this because there wasnāt a single character that I used in the previous games in this, now that I have bo staff master Kilik, all is well.
