I think this game is pretty fuqin’ awesome . I haven’t played umvc3 since I started playing.I’m LOVING Valentine and Ms.Fortune.Sick characters.Still don’t really understand the game like that but I’m getting there.Anyone down for some casuals? If so hit me up on PSN.Be coo’ if anyone wanted to play feel me?
Anyway…I was playing with a friend that was over and he’s starting to get into fighting games…and he that SG was scrub friendly…and he says that UMvC3 was hard -.- think there’s a problem,eh?
I havent played a game like this since MvC2. i never got into MvC3, never played it tbh.
But im loving hte hell out of SG, my mains are valentine and Fortune. im starting to get the hang of building combos, but i tend to choke and drop them most the time. i also have trouble rushing down when i can. i tend to freeze when i put too much thought in my plans.
other than my faults the game is freaking amazing.
your friend sounds like a bit of an idiot who has no idea what hes talking about tbh.
that being said, im totally digging SG as well atm. i think part of why im enjoying it is because i had no real expectations for the game being akin to the next coming of christ. i only started really reading about it like 2 weeks before the release and im happy that the gameplay has made my original distaste for the artwork almost completely subside. its definately solid and im hoping to find some people to play against and see what kind of tech is discovered.
I’m loving Skullgirls, and I’m still only using one character so far. She feels really smooth. In fact, that’s how I’d describe the game in general: Smooth.
Skullgirls has real footsies that can be used by a less skillful player in addition to the long ass combos, doesn’t punish you with a KO at every tiny mistake, and actually tries to teach you about the game.
Yeah, SG is better for inexperienced players than Marvel 3.
SG to me is like a big melting pot of great ideas, concepts and gameplay tweaks not only taken from other great games but also clearly dedicated and creative minds. I personally have already presented this game to a handful of non fighting game gamers and have heard nothing but praise towards the attention to detail and over all presentation/feel.
