This thread is just a general video game topic, but Sony is in danger for a lot more reasons than simply PlayStation. A lot of Japan’s businesses like Sony have to move to other specialties like finance and insurance, because China and Korea are killing them at CE products. Sony isn’t going to up and die, but the Sony that you know today might not be around much longer. You’ll tell your grandkids about all the fun you had with Sony electronics, and they’ll just look at you confused and start researching for cheap old people’s shelters.
No, you specifically said PC gaming is only OK because it lacks Japanese games. Then said you bought a 360. For old ass Xbox games. Then said you love DS.
None of that makes sense.
- 360’s top games are majority Western developed. Oh, not even just the top though, nearly all of them, right down to the shitty ones, too.
- Xbox 1 old ass games. 360 isn’t hardware BC. Wry?
- DS is handheld. Plus, you originally said 360, with no mention of DS, and with that logic, DS games never show up on 360. Or PS3. But you can find those style games on PSOne.
Only later you mentioned Lost Odyssey and Dead Rising. Ok, that’s 2 games on 360. Too bad Dead Rising hasn’t been Japanese since DR2 came out, which was years after DR1. LO still remains exclusive today, and that’s cool. But I don’t buy a system for 1 game.
PC has Japanese games and more than enough Japanese style game designed uh games… Guess you never noticed the plethora of indy games that pay homage to Japanese games of old? Evoland is one of them, you should check it out. Or Anyodyne. Or Braid. Or FEZ, even though I hate Phil Fish. Or Dust: An Elysian Tale. Or the actual Japanese games on PC? You know, real Japanese games like dating simulators and visual novels you will never, ever see on a 360? Or hey, Half Minute Hero, a tribute to classic ass Japanese games by a Japanese company.
Or again, Dark Souls.

I’m not sure what that is supposed 2 mean though. There are tons of regionfree games you can order , and obviously they work.
But again that is not the reason why i got the 360 , it was because of the backwards compatibility so that i could (once again)
play Shen2 NG and Genma.
If you like PC , that is fine. Just don’t act like it’s for everyone , because it’s not.
Where Sony used to have their hands in every electronic device, now a days it’s Samsung. Sony, if they want to be competitive, need to offer more than just Premium and offer entry level stuff, too. And not entry level at premium prices. Sony should mean quality, as in, this shit won’t die tomorrow, not this shit is supposedly the TOP of the TOP of the line. Quality =/= high tier.
Annnnnd, this does not make sense either, since the 360 was never marketed to be backwards compatible. PS3 was, not 360. With 360 it was always “maybe this game will work, maybe it won’t. Also, it may work, but only partially, lollers!”
