I agree with you there. It may have lacked in the old school level design department but Dimps made up for it with SHEER SPEED. The game was about knowing the routes and rushing that shit down. I remember the first time on that sky stage and when you boosted you broke the damn spikes. Sonic and Blaze were moving so fast on the rails that they broke the damn spikes.

While I definitely think the Rush games did the Advance 2 thing properly (Advance 2 was garbage), I’m still not a fan of “hold right and occasionally jump.”
No. However, it may be worth it if it goes on sale. Or, in my case, if someone else who plays on the same 360 buys it. 
It’s not horrible, it really isn’t, but it isn’t what it should have been.
But, as is usually the case, the demo will tell you what you what you need to know.

I was getting lost in wikipedia (my original intention was to find out if Nintendo actually owns Professor Layton or if Level-5 actually owns it) and I ended up coming upon a review for Sonic Colors already. NGamer from the UK gave the game an 86. They said the multiplayer was less than perfect though. Being a bit sceptic of this I immediately went into research mode and didn’t know that NGamer only does reviews for nintendo games meaning if it’s anything like Nintendo Power then it’s score and take on the game is going to be WAAAY over most everyone else’s take on the game. However I see in this thread on the 4th post down that they apparently have given both Unleashed and S&BK 58 and 56 respectively. The thread also has more of a break down on bullet points in the review in the first post. Most of the game is played in 2D apparently. Also by looks of things it seems Crush 40 doesn’t belt out some epic track for the final showdown…that’s what I’m guessing according to one of the last bullet points. I R saddened…

Aside from how floaty he looks when he’s jumping, i’m liking what i see. But then again, Unleashed daytime portion were pretty good in my opinion. It was def a step in the right direction.
