The Sonic universe is too great to limit itself to premade characters. We can create greater protagonist and more ideal personal playable character than anything developers come with. Character creation should be standard feature in all games.
I like how it also has unique gameplay related differences for each race!!

gotta check more of the customization possibilities, but this is looking to be the Xenoverse of Sonic games, at least from a single player standpoint.

Also Sat AM had their Tie in game canceled. It also cause a whole console generation without a single Sonic game.
