I was cleaning up, and found this, circa Wizard 1997. I had entirely forgot about this, having not seen reference to this version of Supes in a long time. Also a bit nostalgic there is a calendar time line talking about some of the big events that happened in comics, the ones happening in the 90s are of course some of the more amusing ones now looking back.
I used to buy Wizard every month, I even went back and bought some back issues starting from #1. I used it mostly for the lame collectible cards and other random shit they’d insert with each issue. My favorite section was Bart Sears tutorial illustrations.
when i was little i found a box of wizards someone was throwing away near my godfathers house…yeah it went downhill from their i was buying wizards pretty consistantly from 97-2005ish. my favorite issue will always be and even more so now is a tutorial on how to draw peter parker and spider-man by mike wieringo. dude was my fave artist growing up. i bought everything i could find of his. robin run,flash run,most of tellos.
