I’ve been to the tutorial on how to put art on your SE and there was a question I have that wasnt addressed in the thread. I went to staples to get my photo printed and laminated and from what they tell me lami-label is heating to pieces of plastic to a paper. They made no mention of any type of adhesive, is it suppose to be that way? Was I saying it wrong could someone tell me?
Lamilable is a product available only at some Fedex Kinko’s. Only One Fedex Kinko’s in my area has lamilable, and 5 others didn’t.
If you want something better than lamilable in the future, you should use gameongrafix.com
There should be a sticker type adhesive on the back. The staples employee is either misinformed or thought you meant to say “laminate”. I’ve only seen lami-label at Kinkos.
Which Fedex Kinko’s in the Bay is that? I’d like to know for future reference. Thanks.
FYI the staples near my house has lami-label, however their printing equipment is lower quality than kinkos/fedex office.
I suggest requesting 32 lb. paper for lami-label prints. The paper is thicker than 24 lb. paper, so it will hold up stronger during lamination. This is important for darker colors (especially the color black), whereas lighter colors turn out better during lamination.
I just bought a $7 can of spray adhesive and used the regular staples laminated printout (10mL)
Problem though is that damn bend. The lamination is rigid, and wants to straighten itself, so the bottom lifts up. I had to superglue it to keep it down. If you use a lighter lamination (5mL) it shouldn’t be a problem at all, but that is all my Staples had.
I went to kinkos today got it done for $1 print, 2.75 Lami-label thnx for help
Question , does anyone know about Lami lables anymore? ive been to 5 different Fed-ex’s in MN and none of them offer the lami-Label anymore. its beginning to get tough to find where i can get this
