i feel 3’s the way to go.

A three man team is superior atm, but it’s going to get more risky using 3 after the patch.

With the changes in IPS and DHC the damage output of teams may be severely affected.

The versatility will remain, though.

I’m interested to see how solo devlops, since Solo characters are going to be able to keep their TOD combos.

Well… not exactly.

The IPS limits a lot of possible TODs, leaving more specific or situational combos, changing “every touch kills” to “every touch is a huge chunk of health, maybe even death”.

Well, I never said “Midscreen TODS”, I just said TODS.

And, my corner 1 v 2 TOD still works after patch, with a little adjustment, so I’d think it’d be the same, especially for Painwheel and Fortune and Parasoul.

Maybe it’s me, but I see people playing teams as treating this like Marvel. Not to say that it’s a bad thing, but I get more hyped when it’s one-on-one matches. I play solo Bella & Parasoul and whenever I fight a team, I just think of how to punish the inevitable assist when she comes in. The ironic thing is, I just discovered 2 of Bella’s Grab Blockbusters can take out one woman on a team of 2 (give or take a jab).

I might graduate to doubles but I’m holding my own just fine in Solo, even with the rampant assist spamming.

Plays solo cerebella, pretends like calling assists is “spamming”

Also not sure anymore about the ratios. It sort of feels balanced. Solo fortune is really good prepatch, gotta say.

TOD combos… This game is obviously being geared towards more resets than TOD’s. I’m not even going to try learning any. I’m doing just fine kicking people in the back of the head and snatching them out the air and smashing their faces into the ground when they least expect it.

Yeah, I’m a little salty about that. I do think they should have a cooldown system for assists like Marvel does, or at least let you punish them with more damage.

Doesn’t phase me much though, my Bella’s still dealing Real Circus Pain.

yea i was kind of surprised when i found out that hitting an assist only does 10% extra damage…

… and then i found out it is actually only 6% damage like a week or so ago!

i am pretty surprised the penalty isnt a lot harsher than that. the damage solos can do to an assist is gonna skyrocket though once the patch increases it to 20% which is what it should have been all along i think.

Only 106% on assists would have been fine if they didn’t regenerate so quickly, or so much. Maybe if they only got half the red life the point would have taken, or if they waited 5-10 seconds after the latest hit before they started healing (Don’t know if there is a delay, but if there is it’s never noticeable especially on a 3 man team). That would have not only made it tolerable fighting a team, but would make assist spamming NOT an option, lest you risk them taking permanent damage. If you want to keep all that extra health, you’d need to let you assist recover for a bit before you called it out again. Hell, if that was done, half red health and delayed recovering, I would have been fine with 100% damage on assists.

Ah well, just an idle thought that probably doesn’t matter anymore.

I definitely renounce any thought that Solo (Might change after patch) is as viable as 2/3 man teams. Or at the very least, for some characters…I guess that makes more sense. As a Painwheel player, I literally just get 0 chance to retaliate against Parasoul with any good lockdown assist, and against Filia in general.

It’s barely worth it now, but it well deff be way more worth it post-patch due to green tech and 120% damage on assist.
