I purchased this Mad Catz Street Fighter x Tekken V.S. Edition Arcade Fightstick new from eBay in 2016. It has served me well since that time with light use (I have a collection of fightsticks). I’m in the process of selling my commercial market sticks to make room for more DIY projects.
Brook UFB-powered:
This fightstick was originally compatible with only the Xbox 360. I have installed a Brook Universal Fighting Board (UFB), making it compatible with the following platforms:
- PC
- PS4
- PS3
- Xbox One
- Xbox 360
- Switch
- Wii U*
I have reused existing wiring and connectors, crimping on new JST PH pins, and substituting DuPont connections where applicable. The board has just been updated to the latest firmware that was released in July.
Functional Condition:
The fightstick functions well and without issue. All functions on the Home/Turbo panel board function perfectly as well:
Turbo (see note #1)
LS/DP/RS selection
Tournament Lock-out
Player LEDs
Home button
NOTE #1: Turbo functionality is maintained with the Brook UFB, but now only one turbo LED (X) serves to indicate turbo mode activation for all buttons. Hold the Turbo button, then press the desired button to activate Turbo mode for that button. To deactivate turbo mode for a button, hold the Turbo button then press the turbo-activated button.
NOTE #2: The Xbox 360 headphone jack board (while still mounted within) is NOT compatible with the Brook UFB. Therefore, this fightstick no longer has on-board audio capability.
Cosmetic Condition:
The fightstick is in very good condition save for a few light scratch marks on the top-front edge, back-left corner, and right-side panel. As this stick is now platform-agnostic, I have changed the Xbox 360 logo on the Home button (underside) to plain black. Please see photos for details.
NOTE: The fightstick will be shipped to you in its original box (including foam padding), and double-boxed to protect the product box. Please note that the instruction manual is not available.
Everything (but on-board audio, duh) works perfectly.
There’s no manual or headphone jack adapter in the box, but the stick will ship in its original box, and I double-boxed the box (like a Matyroska doll)
NOTE: While I prefer this go through eBay, I’m not adverse to settling off eBay (as long you’re located within the United States AND the transaction is done via PayPal).
