SOCD Cleaner Kit Now Available

I wouldn’t worry about Evo; the paewong is not one that could cause ethically questionable behavior. If anyone gives you crap about it, myself or any of the techs would be happy to set them straight.
With that said, I’ll have the SOCD cleaners there for sale, and the floor is going to be flooded with Tech Talk modders, so if you get a hankering to have it put in, we can accomodate. I dont think MadCatz booth would feel comfortable with their techs working on non-Madcatz sticks, so visit my booth and there should be at least one tech able to do it for you for a small fee, or pick a cleaner up from me to take home and do at your leisure.

K thanks

Thanks for all the great work you do.

I just wanted to see if someone could double check my work as this is the first one of these I have had to wire up.
The person I am wiring this for requested left + right = Neutral and Up + Down = Up

Looks like you have the right idea.

Thanks for double checking my work. I hooked it up and tested it and everything is working great!

Toodles. Regarding the 4 resistors. Can I cut off the tips of them once I have them soldered onto board? Also, if the tips touch each other or something else, will that cause an issue?

Most likely.

yes and yes

So I got it all working on my paewang, works on xbox, brought it to casuals on ps3 and started noticing huge input lag, has anyone else had this happen?

Update: it seems very random, happened like 2 of my 6 turns at AE tonight… will experiment more.

You can check your install, but the SOCD cleaner itself is very unlikely to cause noticeable input lag. There are a lot of other variables when you got to a different console and monitor too.

Properly installed it doesn’t cause lag, unless the extra time it takes for electrons to flow through a few transistors is considered lag…

I just wanna make sure I have this right. On my board, there’s no marking that says “U+D=N,” but I’m assuming that was supposed to go to the left of those 3 pads. If that’s correct, I should solder the middle + right together to get U+D=U and left + middle to get N?
Picture in spoiler tags because it’s huge

What would happen if the two outer pads were connected?

There is no lag on a properly setup SOCD cleaner. Check your installation.

Correct. Left two= U+D=N

I dont think it’d be disastrous since it’s a open drain output, but there’s zero reason you’d ever want to.

Thanks for the reply. I was just wondering.

Hi, seeing as I am unable to use this with my axisdapter, I also have a LeoV2 only running the sixaxis pcb. First question is, Is the LeoV2 SOCD clean? and Secondly, Can this chip be used with the LeoV2?

I’m planning to use this on a mayflash PCB. I want to turn that mayflash into a button box
Will the directions return to default SOCD cleaning if I cut power to SOCD cleaner board?
In SSF4 I would like to get advantage of Left+Right=Forward (SOCD Cleaner disabled) for charge characters and left+right=neutral for all others.

2 questions will this work with a cerberus (advanced face) and if so the side that says to pcb does it matter which one i run it to, cerberus or 360…(planning on pad hacking a sfxt 360 pad with cerberus for dual mod)

it does not matter, just that the SOCD Cleaner is between the buttons and the PCB

thank you darksakul
