Ok, since you guys think of the AI players as KOF gods I have decided to take matters into my own hands and made u all realize thats not true at all. The AI guy that LWK and exiled mention constantly is good, but since he plays with his friends that dont play seriously, then he looks beastly. Last time I was there ( months ago ) he asked if I wanted to play 98UM money matches and I told him that I wasnt ready, and that I needed practice. That guy used to play almost everyday at AI. My gf used to tell me: “wow theres that guy again, he lives here”. Even if the guy spend most of his free time playing KOF, still thats what makes one person gain skills and be a better player.
I wanna play him for money and competitively since all you guys just play for fun and dont care if that guy OCVs all of you. But first things first … and thats practice.
Its very difficult for me to practice with the mexicans coz of location and time schedules, so I wanted to know if guys like Exiled or LWK are willing to spar some time with me on KOF98UM.

I’ll do 98 Um any time, I need to get the game, but I spent some time tearing krauser apart and figuring out his game. I wanna see more Yuri cause I think she has sick potential also, just really want to get a idea of how character changes will change my options in game.
The guy I’m saying is good wears a hat and looks like kind of gangster, hes good with his rush down and his play style is far beyond his comp yes, but thats not why I think hes so good. Nobody else at AI is as consistent as him, but this is just AI.
I think hes good cause he reads his opponents much faster then others do, this is something you either develop over the years or its just a natural talent, you can’t really be taught this without exp or talent… Winning or losing is bs in the end, its how a person is when they get that rematch, that is what is important to me.
When I play a match or so, I may lose, but that doesn’t last long for me unless the opponent is deep…
In fact that guy I mentioned I was copying some off his rush down with my Kyo. If I sat down for a good hour and studied how he reacts to stuff, I could figure out his game, but hes the type of dude that would adapt also, which is the best thing for our smaller scene. His issue is he rushes down to damn much.
Many KOF players are so stuck on the most superficial aspects of the game. I see constant repetition of stuff any player could figure out and roll cancel through. Pressure is great, but true experts don’t continuously repeat predictable block strings and other stuff. I see this constantly with people who claim to be great, but honestly its not good, and never has been, hehe I think thats what separates guys like Dakou, even when they use those things, they are so unique.
When I go to AI i usually am just playing 3S anyways, since that and A2 are my favorite competitive fighters, but if you see me there, hit me up and I’ll do some KOF.
I also will do matches at my house in covina on thursday-friday nights occasionally. If you wanna contact me, my aim is LWKSNK
I prefer to play using my own stick and not at AI. I’m up thurdays, so we can play that day. I dont use AIM anymore, so I can only be contacted here via SRK.

Dave, the guy you’re talking about isn’t the same guy I think. The one I think is good usually spikes his hair and has some tats on his arms. That guy is beastly! His buddy, The one you’re talking about is a bit chubbier and wears his hat backwards is good, yes, but not as good as him though.
Nah the guy I am talking about is really thin.
