Update: About the gathering at my place, it is gonna have to wait til the following month due to some people who will be staying at my pad for the remainder of this month. So until they leave, I won’t be able to have any sessions anytime soon. :tdown:

This distinction becomes apparent from relevant panel art. UCLA has the US-localized KOF XI, and the panel art (all in English) illustrates the “US” layout mentioned above. I haven’t seen a Japanese KOF XI panel art, but the SST panel art at AI shows the “Japanese” layout mentioned above (which is consistent with their KOF XI buttons).
It’s rather painful to keep switching between the two; the only constant is SP :xeye: The style I’ve adopted is to use fingertips for US and “underknuckles”/fat-finger for JP – that way I can tell which layout I’m using by feel and minimize screwing up tag combos.
That said, I miss kicking ass with Rimururu :sad:

I really don’t like any KOF’s under 2000.
Mainly because there is no Kula.
The only reason I play 98 is because of Chris, and it is Saisyu’s last KOF (unless you play NW)
Most of the good players go on friday now since ggxx ranbats are going on every other fridaylike this friday so best bet is to go then, thats usually when people are playing 2002 and svc chaos and XI.
i’d like to run a SST ranbat at AI… anyone interested?

well if not a ranbat… then some sort of get together to learn the system… both WickedElement and I have a very good understanding of the system… the spirit system and the battle mechanics in general…
I might go but I’d rather it be a console ranbat/gatheriong instead as well. I can adjust to the controls there so it isn’t a problem but it is pretty far for me.

i agree with Noc, make it a console ranbat/tourny/workshop instead. AI is quite for from me as well.
ok so far the consensus is we hold a console get together… when wicked has his place available then we can hold it there… throw in some Garou cause id like to get better at that… KOF anything for the fiends… and SST to power up SoCal
