SoCal - Riverside county area, SSF4 weekly/bi-weekly get together?

Need a new place for this, didn’t get going.

OP:

This pertains to Southern California.

As the title states, I am currently trying to discern if there are enough people interested in a weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly get together/maybe even a tournament for SF fans in riverside county(I live in temecula, temecula/murrieta area would be ideal). Of course, anyone not in riverside county is more than welcome if interested. Just trying to start something a little more close to home.

Ideally, I would like to see this become a fun way for SSF4 fans in this area to interact and hone our skills.

I can’t host, as I have a full house and my side of the house is not big enough for this kind of thing.

If anyone is interested in getting this going, please let me know any hosting suggestions and the like you may have, or even if you are interested in hosting yourself.

I would really like to see if we can get an ssf4 scene going here, as it seems San Diego and LA are the main hot spots for SSF4 in socal.

To make this work, we would most likely need people to bring systems/tv’s if we find a place to host it. I can always bring a ps3/the game, and soon I will have an xbox 360 version as well.

If we actually get something going, I am more than happy to organize/co-ordinate even if I can’t host, to take some of the stress off of a possible host.

PM or post if you have any suggestions, feedback, or ideas for me. I would love to get this going. I hope to hear from anyone interested.

You may need to bite the bullet and drive up an hour to LA, or down an hour to SD. Don’t stop trying to get something locally going though!

Mhmm, looking at starting to head down to a place a friend referred me to that meets on Tuesdays apparently as soon as I get directions. PM’d the person it mentioned on the website. In fact, I think I remember seeing your name on a video they hosted. =)

I love to I live in wildomar but there’s no where to meet up. I can bring a 360 if needed.

And I wouldn’t mind hosting but all I have is 1 tv that’s old and not in HD and a big LCD that lag’s so someone would have to bring monitor’s.

I leave out in Hemet and i was trying to get the new comic store that opened out here to get me started but the place is too small. They said that there gonna be getting a bigger venue soon. I’ll let you guys know what i come up with. Now to find a way to get a 360 stick if needed

Oh shit how did i not see this lol, I’m from Temecula and something like this would be great. I’d really like a local scene just because it would be a lot more convenient instead of driving to OC/LA or SD. Which is fine cause I enjoy going to AI and to the few Boxarena events that I have gone to but as of right now the convenience factor would be pretty amazing.

I agree it would be nice to have something out here Kram, I’m in Hemet/SJ and I haven’t heard a peep about SF or anything like it, and driving to AI is not an option for me. If we could get something going out here that’d be awesome

If someone sets something up at Mulligans, I wouldn’t mind coming out to show my support despite me not giving two shits about SSF4…

How often would you want to do this? Ie: weekly etc. I can’t bring a TV, my plasma is too big to lug around, but I can bring a ps3 or a 360, just don’t have a 360 stick yet.

Ya weekly is fine. 360 and ps3 would help. Just need lagfree tv’s. I have a 360 stick my friend has a 360 stick too. lol anyone else think they might be able to pitch in?

Mulligan’s would be a great idea the only thing that concern’s me is that they want you to use there controller’s and we would want to use sticks also they only have the old copy of sf4 so someone would need to talk to them. maybe?

Hmm. I will try to contact them about it sometime today, then. I had no idea about that.

I can try to find an old CRT TV to bring every week, but I can for sure bring a 360/game/stick(just bought one cause of the SCR coupons, heh.) and a ps3/game/stick.

Hmm. Just spoke with Mulligan’s. No go on bringing own controllers/stick or super. She told me that they are most likely going to shut down that room soon, as well.
