Alex,

Thanks for running this event. It sounds great. Location, hotel, big names, big money. This is a recommendation, not a command of any sort, but I feel that making the second day top 32 or top 16 is more interesting. One, it gives more players a chance to get out of pools especially those who travel far. Also, it adds more great games to be viewed by the streamers and live audience there on the second day.

I thought showing top 32 at EVO and Seasons Beatings was a great idea. Not sure how you feel about this, and I understand you have time constraints compared to NCR where they only showed top 8. Just alot more viewer friendly hyped matches. Just a suggestion. Thanks again. Does anyone else feel the same?

had

PS 4 of us from Utah will be there.

I’ll be there. Its my time.

Thanks for your insight good sir.

Majority of the stream will be SSF4 up to top 8 on Saturday (Including top 32)

Glad to see 4 of you are coming!

Out of curiosity, will Hori have a booth at the event to sell merchandise? Also, is there anything going on at the tournament venue for the pre-party, like casual gaming or something?

So close, yet so far away!

Kinda want to play Sako in tournament.

HORI will be there with a booth to sell and showcase their products.
The BYOC will be active during the Friday pre-party in the foyer of the venue.

Everybody kinda wants to do that =)

Better be prepared sir!

Valle,

check pms.

those were some GREAT matches on the stream. Props to gamerbee, ucla blondie, valle, the bison guru, and the balrog.

I don’t see a PM from you sir.

Glad you enjoyed the stream sir. Wait til you see who’s coming next week =)

got my room booked for friday/sat night. Now I need money matches! Anyone?

Mr Valle,

Could you give a realistic estimate of when will the event finish on sunday?

SBR, for example, is way behind schedule the first two days (closes at 3am!) and the final day is also massively delayed

(like damdai had to catch a plane and forfeit his match)
[ edit : what i said in the previous sentense is my words, which was wrong, i quoted damdai directly below]

How confident you think final day will be finished at X PM and what is X?

As for side tourney, first come first served seemed fair and all, but in practice it doesn’t really work.

For example, if people are coming from far away and brings tons of equipments, only to find out that all the spots are taken, not only will he be screwed, all the players traveling to enter will be pissed too.

If you don’t commit and allocate X number of stations to whoever that is interested in running a side tourney, it is really hard for people to justify bringing equipments and advertising the side tourney to potential players.

Does that make sense?

Also, for BYOC area, will you provide LCD/TV like EVO does so people only need to bring consoles/sticks/games?

And thanks for running SCR. Hope it will be a success.
