I’m not going to miami thanks to the fucking hurracaine the tourney was canceled for like a week or 2 so thats more time to practice for me. I really want to take th e GAROU tourney but supposedly there is a guy who owns every body in FL going, ha :nunchuck: I think is time for me to show the true form of Jennet.

Hey I can’t believe you guys are having regular Garou Tourneys I am stuck up here in Oregon with no one to play. I was at Evo, you might remember me my name is Ross, I use Kain and everyone else. I wish I could get there to play all these people. OH and magician that combo with BUTT we were trying to do at evo doesn’t work. I tried for a while when I got home and I can’t get the super to land. I am sure it’s not possible.
Well I thought it was but I am pretty sure it’s not. It’s just C, L. DP break, qcf+lk, Maxed out Ranbu Super. But I am almost 100% sure it doesn’t work they fall to low for anything but the Kick super to catch them. OH and this is corner only obviously.

I didn’t give this combo another shot cuz I’ve been concentrating on practicing some new techniques (at least new for ME) and mess’n around w/ characters that were formerly not on my play roster.
Just so that other people get a clear view of what we were try’n to do, this is what itz SUPPOSED to look like:
Corner your opponent,
jump HK
HP
dp HP (break)
qcf LK
qcf x3 HP x10+ = MAX hits (aka Ryuuko Ranbu - secret super)
(for those of you w/ a turbo controller, I HIGHLY suggest using that for this super :bgrin: )
Here are a few special notes:
You can pretty much do this same combo, but just use his super uppercut on step 5. I suggest use’n his S super because using P supers in this game tends to be a waste (they tend to only take off a little bit more than an S)
Whenever you are do’n any sort of launcher in your combo, most likely your break, do the STRONG ver. It may not LOOK like it makes a diff, but for many peoplez combos, this is the ONLY way to get the combo off. The strong versions tend to pop up your opponent just a bit higher, which becomes integral for more precise and damaging combos. I know this is DEFINITELY the case for Jae and Gato… and prob for most other players as well.
Tho I didn’t get to thoroughly test out this combo, you want to make sure that the max ver of the Ryuuko Ranbu comes out. You will know whether you did the max version or not when he starts off w/ fireballs and ends w/ the 2nd kick of his qcf HK move. To test whether everything from this super will hit, it maybe wise to 1st go to practice mode and set your opponent on jump. If at anytime during the super, your opponent gets “freed” (falls out of a juggle), then you KNOW that this CAN NOT be used to complete a juggle combo (which is what we were trying).
You MIGHT be able to expand on this combo if you mess w/ feint cancel’n chains. This would of course be between steps 2 and 3. You could prob try do’n HP, feint, HP.

I would suggest that you bring your own controller, but I can’t guaranty have’n a converter for you (at the mome I only have one - that handles both ps and saturn controllers), so if you have a converter, please remember to bring it. Btw, does anyone happen to have an extra S-video cord for the DC?
Oh, and for extra entertainment’s sake, I’ll be showcase’n a little known import saturn exclusive from '97: Groove On Fight. Hopefully some fans will show up for that too heh heh. :bgrin:

Well, I think we had a fairly decent turn out for our first OFFICIAL Casual. If memory serves me correctly, we had about 10 fairly serious contestants come out. Not bad.
THE ANSWER - good look’n out. You are 1 of like only 3 people that I’ve met so far thatz given me some decent critique on my play. And yeah, I’ve noticed THAT prob before and shall try to correct for that a bit. I still can’t improve your game play all THAT much more which is kind of a good thing, but I SHOULD at least be able to give you pointers on what to look out for from other characters/players.
I’ll be talk’n w/ a few of you guys before we have our next casual to see what we can do better. I will TRY to get more serious about this stuff so that you guys can become more competitive. Something thatz STARTING to become a prob is the lack of adapters that we have. I seem to be the only one bring’n mine, and yet almost everyone seems to need one.
I will probably be taking orders fairly soon for adapters so that we can hopefully get them for between $15-20 depending on how many people order (the more who do, the better our deal). The next meeting SHOULD BE 9/25. To all the players who made it out that day, thanks for stop’n by. These things should only be get’n better. And to those who didn’t make it last time, I hope you can make it to the next one.
